Since looking at a statement from Bungie stating that it is higher priority to make seasonal activities than make a vendor refresh, I was curious to see what the Bungie forums says.

1 ReplyI seriously don't understand the dichotomy. A vendor refresh can't be that hard when we have 100s of sunset weapon assets in the game begging to be used. Come up with a handful of new perks each season and maybe a coat of unique paint like they used to do. Im not the one in the studio actually developing stuff, so maybe its easier said than done? From my possibly ignorant standpoint though it just looks lazy on Bungie's behalf. The studio split can only justify so much. Im sure they want their game to succeed, and aren't as money-grubby as people paint them. I think it just boils down to ignorance on what their core player-base wants in their Destiny experience. We're playing a looter-shooter because we're loot -blam!-. Dont get it twisted.

1 armor set with a different color across all factions -blam!-ing sucks. That was a shitty call.
-
6 RepliesTbh the only time vendors were really worth anything was in D1 with FWC, Dead Orbit and New Monarchy. D2 vendors even planetary ones have always been poorly done. The new 'refresh' with vanguard, crucible and Gambit armors (zero weapons) being identical design is pure laziness and shows a lack of care and direction from Bungie imo.
-
1 ReplyVendor refreshes have always been reskins of older weapons and theres no way in hell Bungie would be able to create unique weapon models for each vendor without reskinning. If they DID reskin, that would be the complaint instead. Look back at The Dark Below. The vendor weapons were the same models but turned from orange and white to Purple and Red. The Vanguard weapons went from Dark blue and Orange to being inverted to Orange and dark blue. Look at Shadow Price and Up For Anything for example. Even the factions had reskinned models. Compare Vanquisher to the 2 I mentioned.

Don’t really care about a vendor refresh because it’ll just be taking weapons that have new models, or new paint jobs on existing models, and then just getting the same exact rolls as you want on everything else. Until they sort out perks, it doesn’t make a difference to have new weapons.
-
Empire hunts are a copy paste of the campaign missions and wrathborn hunts are glorified patrols. I would perfer something entirely new.
-
1 ReplyWrathborn hunts are kinda boring. The concept is cool but the fact I need to play 3 strikes to charge the lure and gain access to a 5 minute activity for a piece of gear that may not have the rolls I want is kinda stupid
-
Not gonna happen unless they reverse course on their FTP model. They’re gonna put time and money into the paid content and leave the free stuff alone.
-
2 RepliesRealistically, not enough people gave a damn about vendor weapons to warrant a refresh. I can't remember the last time I saw someone hopping into an endgame activity with vendor gear.
-
3 RepliesThe correct answer is there should be better activities than Empire Hunts and Wrathborn Hunts AND a regular vendor refresh.
-
F2P is ruining the vendors. If Bungo spent the resource to create new world drops they would be accessible to free players.
-
Ideally, we'd have both.
-
Empire Hunts are just aggravating, I hate stasis bosses, they are way too much of a slog to be worth it, and none of the weapons have rolls I care about, but I don't mind Wrathborn hunts. I do like being able to pick my perks to a degree, and being able to get actual value out of the experience. All the vendor stuff is nothing I use at all, and its all junk or just plain ugly.
-
Hunts. Vendor refreshing I could care less about. I don't care about where new loot comes from. As long as we get more loot.
-
I'd rather have content than gear nobody ever used anyways
-
1 ReplyHonestly either or, if both were done better especially wrathborne and their shitty objectives to boost lure charging
-
4 RepliesAnd they say there are no stupid questions 😂😂😂 The answer is obvious.
-
1 ReplyWhat was the point of this poll knowing damn well what the majority would pick?
-
My only issue with the Hunts is the tedious stuff you have to do beforehand. The mission themselves and the loot is fine.
-
1 ReplyGuess i'm in the minority but i prefer new sources of gear than the same old strikes crucible and gambit
-
These results are a great example of why Bungie should never listen to the forums lol

Edited by HollowedWayfarer: 11/20/2020 10:57:31 PMI wouldn’t even mind it if they brought back D1 style armors and weapons to be used as Vendor items. Actually, I wouldn’t mind that for the world loot pool either.
-
Both of the hunts are horribly boring. I have more fun going to the tower ever Monday in search of god rolls. Then going on my clan chat and say: palindrome with hidden hand and Icarus is for sale get it now. Instead we do this trash content and vendors are worthless
-
New things to do. I don’t care to get loot in the Tower.
-
I wouldn’t mind the vendors getting a few new guns but I’m not losing any sleep over it necessarily.
