Adjusting zoom on snipers is bad here’s why....

  • They should leave everything the way it is. All the nerfs and buffs to hand canons and shotguns being so strong is gonna revert back to full stacks in comp and trials running nothing but hand canon/shotty. Autos will not be able to compete with hand canons and will get vaulted. This next season will be good for all the hand canon/shotty user and suck for everyone else.

    • Take away aim assist and only people who know what they’re doing can snipe. This is a good change. Its not the flinch change we need, but it’s not bad

      Which means the skill floor for using a sniper just went up...,because people will keep using short zoom scopes, but get less aim-assist.

    • Zoom wasn’t changed. Aim assist per zoom was changed. High zoom scopes will have higher aim assist. Low zoom scopes will have lower aim assist. No zoom levels on scopes are being changed.

      • EskimoWHITE you make some valid points and I agree that eververse needs to be removed from the game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

        • They didn’t adjust zoom they adjusted AIM ASSIST. So if you’re really good as you think you are you will still do fine. But if you crutch heavily on low zoom (revoker) aim assist they you will actually have to learn how to snipe

            • Well looks like zoom isn't being adjusted but the aim assist is take a look at the twab expect to get sniped slightly less when flinching someone.

            • I agree, it’s a mistake and ignores the real issues with snipers like flinch. Yes, low-zoom scopes are heavily overused, but that’s because snipers with higher zooms offer no benefit. AA and impact should both increase with zoom.

              • The way snipers can be used in Destiny with snapshot and low-zoom scopes is moronic. Way too many strengths and not enough weaknesses. This is a step in the right direction away from snipers being an "I-win" button.

                Sniper Rifles should be massively cumbersome & have really slow ADS & Reload/Handling They should never be able to quickscope/headshot at medium to short range With the Sniper having to Hardscope to hit the target (and have that Minute of Angle (MoA) feel true to the weapon) This allows a place for Scout Rifles to profit (and allows a scout/pulse rifle wielding player to push past the Snipers view and have the sniper have to descope and move positions As for Maps, Why Bungie ever took Equinox out & are also removing Vostok (the biggest map on D2) is just baffling The old Moon D1 Combined Arms map [b]First Light[/b] & [b]Bastion[/b] would also be great for long & mid range weapon types I’m sure there was a D1 map in the wide spaces of the Mothyards in the Cosmodrome ?

                • Sure most maps are small...but hear me out.. SNIPERS ARE LONG RANGE WEAPONS!!!!!!! they shouldnt be effective at short-mid range.

                    I think they just need to fix the aim assist/ bullet magnetism because I’m getting killed by snipers through walls

                      Most maps have places that should be considered "sniper lanes." Because of the low zoom and a variety of other issues almost any sightline that isn't in Shotgun range is a sniper lane which is kinda stupid.
