Sunset Bullshit
Why are you sunsetting most of the weapons we grind for. How would you like if we come to your houses and family and take it away. how would that feel? I really hope you will choke in this game and idea to take away our hard grinding and work.. its just no respect.. And why.. Because you just F-U-C-K-E-D up the game.
AND BESIDES THAT, WE PAYED FOR ORNAMENTS. AND WHY CAN YOU STILL BUY ORNAMENTS THAT ARE GETTING SUNSETTED.. JUST WHY..!!!!!!!!!

8 RepliesYour weapons aren't going anywhere, they just don't be effective certain portions of content going forward. If this bothers you, that's fair, that being said I'm unaffected by this. Things come and go and that's just the nature of things. I don't particularly want one thing to be effective all the time.

You realize that as you grow in power in game it's customary that weapons need changing to increase over time right? This isn't a novel concept.

The TLDR? Bungie wants this game to play more as an RPG and loot-based RPG...and less like a conventional shooter. Loot-games HAVE to retire power from the game in order for them to stay healthy over time. If you don't give the player power to chase, they get bored and stop playing. But if you try to give them power forever, you break the game...and people stop playing. So what sunsetting does is that it allows Bungie to keep giving us cool, powerful stuff to chase....because they are taking away the power of the OLD stuff the gave us back so that they can give it back to us in new stuff. IOW, we continue to get power to chase after....but with out that power getting out of control. Games like this are about the fun of the chase. Not about letting us make one perfect build and then keep it forever.

At the end of the day it’s nothing more than a big -blam!- you for playing the game. They really want this game to be a big mmo like WoW or something but refuse to accept the fact that Destiny can’t and never will be, Destiny attracts a drastically different audience, that audience will never be happy with you taking away or outright making what they earned and loved useless in most activities. Sunsetting is like increasing the level cap in borderlands but not allowing you to farm old legendarys at the new cap.

5 Repliesbecause of sunsetting, bungie dont have to nerf falling guillotine (which is OP). Instead of nerfing it which they wouldve done by now, we get to enjoy abusing it for a year. I much prefer this system. unless ofcourse bungie nerfs it, then that sucks.
