Do you enjoy Gambit?
I just want to see how the rest of the community feels.

If there was a freelance mode for gambit I feel it would be better.

It's fun when the entire random team just clicks and everyone knows what to do, it's like y'all have mental telepathy and everything you do without communication just connects and leads to that sweet, sweet victory BUT it's really frustrating when no one seems to know what to do. It can be a fun game mode but I think one major factor why so many people hate gambit is that the mechanics are poorly explained in-game. You see randoms banking 4 motes, 13 motes, like wtf. No one clearing the bank until everyone is loaded with motes and can't bank coz there are a ton of blockers and everyone gets wiped coz hooray enemy invader. Using their supers to the primeval when the envoys are still alive (tho drifter says something about the envoys but no one can pay attention to that what with all that's happening in front of their screen). If they can have a proper tutorial IN-GAME of this mode that explains every single important aspect of it, then I believe there will be less frustration and hate to gambit. Bad players will be bad but I think most of the randoms are just not properly informed of the mechanics.

If you have a team it can be pretty chill and fun. Solo....it’s balls.

It would be a lot better if there was some sort of visible ping on the radar so you had some idea the direction of where the invader was.

Yeah, it is fun. They need to tone down the invading business a but as a mode is fun for me. I go on with Malfeasance and get stuff done.

I generally enjoy both normal and Prime, even though I am not the best at it. Though the Xeno and Truth invasions get annoying at times, I just brush it off and continue to have fun. Usually surprise the other team by destroying them with my Bad Juju. 😂😂

In all honesty I actually really like gambit. I think if the changed the rewards and gave mastork materials from the gamemode more people would play. Also adjust heavy ammo.

Prime is great. OG is trash. PvP sweats ruin it by not PTFO and turning it into wallhacks over-shield crucible. (Not sorry) Another thing the PvP try hards have ruined in destiny. Aren't we all shocked?

Burnt out on it is more like it. Haven’t recovered from season of the drifter and the title grinds for Dredgen and Reckoner. That combined with it being one of a few sources to help you level, and well you get my drift.

2 RepliesI won't play it. It shouldve been the first content to be removed. Maybe bungie could keep one of the soon to vaulted planets and just delete gambit. It's not even remotely good enough to vault. Deletion is the only thing it's good for.

I'm just an 'average' Gambit guy wandering around doing bounties. Even Drifter called me a snitch, I will still play his game.

Sure, I’ll do it for things like Solstice armor or for weekly bounties/missions, but man it takes its toll on you. True, the stress subsides when you’re playing with three friends, but not a lot of my clanmates like Gambit, and I can’t really blame them. Playing solo? Oh let my suffering end, lmao. It feels like a vast majority of the time I’m teamed up with people who end up forcing me to act as all four roles just to make sure we don’t get absolutely curbstomped. Having to begin a match by Reaping every damn enemy, Collecting every last drop that my feeble Warlock arms can carry, running over to the bank to simultaneously be a Sentry to gun down blockers that my allies never shoot to then proceeding to Invade the enemy to snipe them all while avoiding Truth rockets and other goodies just isn’t fun.

Gambit would be a bit more fun if truth didn't exist :) literally the most skill-less weapon used in gambit lol

1 ReplyIt’s fun enough that it’s the only title I went for. (Dredgen) PVP players will of course complain about it but for PVE players it’s a nice middle ground where we can kill some players, kill enemies and still be competing against real people.

Yes I enjoy it but needs a bigger gap between invasions.Its really annoying when the enemy team banks enough motes that someone invades and when their time runs out or is killed they can invade again straight away 3 times in a row.

They need to remove wall hacks for invaders. At this point it's pretty much free kills. If the invaded team cant see invader then invader shouldn't be able to permanently see enemy team. Either make it a ping on kill or on a timer or remove it completely.
