Initially I liked the season pass because it offered some background content to do while playing activities in the world but I have noticed some dumb stuff during the season of arrivals. I think the umbral engrams are a great idea but to change what type of umbral engram you want is only a limited amount of uses besides the pyramid ones (not sure if its daily or in general) until you need the seasons pass to be able to change more of them. I also found out that you need the seasons pass to be able to upgrade the machine allowing better rewards from the umbral engrams, AND there is a seasons pass locked quest! Its getting out of hand with how much content is starting to get locked behind the seasons pass, it was bad enough with how many dlcs you have to buy to be able to further enjoy the game. I can't really get invested in destiny as a whole because every time you turn around you have to cough up more money to be able to progress! I understand Bungie needs money to keep the game alive but there is a limit to peoples wallets too. I love the concept of Destiny but everything just seems to be executed poorly in terms of balancing guns in pvp (which could be balanced to be more or less powerful in pvp exclusively) or especially with how much money needs to be poured into it.
