i wasted my time getting a pinnacle i didnt need
bungie you're tossing my time investment to the side. i just got a 1059 sword from doing crucible (a gamemode i despise) when i already had a 1059 FALLING GUILLOTINE.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME, THIS ISNT GOOD INVESTMENT THIS IS LITERALLY BULLSHIT
i can ONLY get so much enjoyment from dismantling the total utter USELESS pinnacle drops you give me but you're TELLING ME THAT I SHOULD HAVE A PINNACLE DROP I DONT NEED

Back when our max light level was around 300-330, it literally took me 9 weeks to get a Warlock bond to reach max light. I was super pissed each week. RNG is like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster, people think it's real but everyone knows it's just a figment of our imaginations, put in place to sell t-shirts and ..........cookbooks.

I mean... thats pretty much me every week 😆 Except for me I really don’t care because I don’t NEED to be the max light level. My current light level is high enough to allow me to do pretty much everything besides the GM Nightfalls. Which I cant do anyway because my friends have also been taking the more casual play style, just way more casual than I... Once people realize that you don’t need to get max light level and that you have PLENTY of time to do the new stuff the game becomes way more fun and stops feeling like a job.

Cause it's not a true RNG system. Items are weighted to drop at a higher rate. It does this for everything. Been an issue since D1.. designed to keep you playing.. or.. the hamster wheel effect.

Some pinnacles I’ve been leveling up to 1060. Use them for a few more months. Delirium, Hammerhead. Loaded Question was great with insta-reload Lunafaction boots, and rally barricade, which were nerfed to the ground! Other strategies needed (hunter is set with reload dodge - makes her fun to play)

Join the club, been plagued with duplicates for a very long time. My latest post that bungie didn't care about either: Bad RNG strikes again _______________________ Ran a Pit of Heresy on My Titan Monday afternoon, got my first 1060 drop... a dreambane class item. Today I ran a master nightmare hunt and got a...... you guessed it! Another 1060 dreambane class item!!!! Edit: ran my Hunter through a Master nightmare hunt and got a 1060 chest piece, then did the interference mission and got another 1060 chest piece. Completed interference on my Warlock and got a 1060 bond, then ran a master nightmare mare hunt and got another 1060 bond. Ran a master nightmare hunt and got a 1059 primary then ran the interference mission to complete means to an end quest just to get another 1059 primary. Last week my Titan got a 1058 chest piece from soloing a master nightmare hunt and a 1058 chest piece from means to an end quest. Ran my Hunter through a master nightmare hunt, got a 1058 chest piece, did the means to an end quest and got yet another 1058 chest piece. My Warlock got a 1058 bond from soloing a master nightmare hunt and a 1058 bond from Means to an end quest. Every week on all 3 characters 2 pinnacle rewards are in the exact same category.

That means your total gear score was around 1058.

This is nothing new. If Bungie hasn't changed how pinnacle drops work by now, they won't. It increases the grind which increases playtime. It's "random" and I highly doubt they will ever change it to give you the lowest piece of gear you have as your upgrade.
