If the govt. decides to ban perfectly legal social media platforms that aren’t selling our data then we shoot em for it. Simple as that. The whole freakin purpose of the 2nd amendment!!!!

Microsoft is in talks to acquire it. Given, the people in charge of this decision are known for a certain, uh, capriciousness, so who actually knows.

Although I do not agree with an outright ban I do understand the reasoning behind it. But then again most companies on the internet and especialy big tech firm are doing the exact same thing and last I heard Apple and Facebook do have dealings with China.

15 RepliesI've never used tiktok. I never intend to use tiktok. I've actively spoken against the use of tiktok. But in all honesty, a complete ban worries me as a precedent for future government overreach.

Is it just a coincidence Tiktok users recently trolled his campaign rally? But I don’t think anyone should be celebrating the president unilaterally banning social media platforms (for any reason). It sets a dangerous precedent.

It’s like the Emu War, you shot one Emu, you’re still going to lose from the abundance of other Emus. Also, be concerned about over reach of government power, you’re only celebrating because it was TikTok that got banned, your reactions would be very different if say YouTube was banned.
