there are autos just autos everywhere no other primary maybe sometimes high impact pulse but thats it
apparently HC were a problem while current 600 ARs are
extremaly easy to use
alot more forgivable
literal lasers on pc
have faster ttk
have longer range
dmg perks drasticaly boost ttk
flinch you into another dimension with high cals
they need to be nerfed already this is getting out of hand

1 ReplyEvery meta there's one weapon type that's considered op and every meta there's a vocal minority loudly complaining. Get over yourself and think back to when your favorite weapon type was meta and you destroyed everyone. Sucks to be on the receiving end doesn't it?
-
Every meta there are tons of whiners like you... every...single...meta
-
3 RepliesStill better than 24/7 hand cannons. Autos are good, but lightweight HC's, sidearms and rapid pulses still hold up. All that we really need is some adjustments to slower-firing precision primaries like scouts and high impact archetypes. Give them more flinch and reliability. Tune those up along with SMG's and we'll have a solid meta.
-
181 RepliesSo right now you have AR’s, HC’s, and pulses that can all compete with each other. This is actually better then most Metas as you actually have choice if you want to compete. Stop whining and learn how to counter.

9 Replieshand cannon meta drove me crazy for 2 year get over yourself
-
Ar's are finally good they're fine bro.
-
Yeah and if they lose the single point of damage they gained handcannons will be everywhere again
-
Someone’s upset that their spamcannon isn’t the best gun in the game anymore.
-
Yeah right the two years of HC and shotty was awesome .....nope!
-
4 RepliesIts like you werent around for the OEM/Ace meta lol. I'll take this any day
-
3 RepliesSorry but the way bungie balances things means u might as well just use ARs until the numbers "go too high for usage" and they will be nerfed into the ground. But then they will overbuff something that only needed a tiny tweek. Scouts will now 2 tap at all speeds and high impact scouts now 3 tap the body. Mida now has explosive rounds, wolfpack rounds, and kill clip.
-
2 RepliesI gave up on hc for trials I run autos in trials and I run hc in normal pvp
-
3 RepliesSticks that can 3 tap are still worse, especially in this game where you can aim to the body and hit headshots.
-
I've used the same 600 RPM auto rifle since launch, nothing has changed. High to medium rate of fire autos have always been good.

20 RepliesJ O T U N N

Im sure you also complained about the hand cannon meta And then when ARs get nerfed and scouts become op you will complain about that Then scouts will get nerfed and PRs will become OP and you will complain about that. And then we will be back full circle to HCs..
-
28 RepliesBump. All the dad gamers love Bastion, Mountaintop, Revoker, and Gnawing/Summoner/Suros. God forbid they use something that takes actual aim like a hand cannon. 600 ar’s are all you see in PvP, things need a change.

Edited by Quiet_Bushi: 7/21/2020 8:21:11 AMEhy Dante =) Your frustrations is comprensible and it's not something new when we talk about PvP META. Unfortunately, Destiny's PvP Meta is always been something like this. Every Season or two there is one or two Weapons/Weapons Archetypes that are much stronger that all the others. For make you an example (now I don't remeber exactly in which order we had these, so don't look at that) months ago, the META was composed by Fast Pulse Rifle like Bygone. There was also a Fusion Rifle -Erentil something was its name- with a crazy range. Then I believe we had Fast Hand Cannons...? Like Sparrow Rations and similars. Oh, and in Destiny 2 Season One we also had the Scout Rifle META with the MIDA Multi-Tool. It was everywhere in the Trials of the Nine... So, yeah. My point is that PvP META is always been like this since D2 Vanilla. Bungie is terribly slow when is about meta-shift. As I wrote before, they usually shift the META every Season or two. So it's quite unlikely that they are going to do something about this situation before Beyond Light. I don't know if they do such a thing because they simply can't handle meta-shifting in the middle of a Season, or simply because its their politic to give to each Weapon a dedicated time period to "shine". So I won't speculate about this. If you feel that this META isn't for you in any sense (which, again, is absolutely comprensible), since you can't really do much to counter it, you must just find the way to make your PvP experience less frustrating as possible. It of course depends on which kind of PvP player you are, if a dedicated one or not. If you're not, then simply try to limitate your time into the Crucible, maybe only for those 3-4 matches during the weak you need to obtain some Power Gear. You can also try to divide your time into the Crucible, like for example only 1 or 2 matches every day. If you are, then simply go with your favorite loadout, light hearted, and try to do your best with it as always. If you are melted by some crazy Auto-Rifle, you'll know that this isn't something you can control and, for how bad it sounds, you must simply accept it for now. Times will change, this META will dissapear and something new will arrive. Hope this may be helpfull.

15 RepliesIts better than a fusion rifle meta. Which should have never been a thing.
-
3 RepliesChanging metas is a main proponent of destiny. Always had been. Right now though there are plenty of comoetrtive hc's
-
32 RepliesNah, ARs are life. The only time they've been decent since the SR meta in D1. Much better than the HC spam.
-
5 RepliesYou use what you want and I will use what I want . Get over it.

2 RepliesEdited by Murda: 7/19/2020 6:48:21 PMIm a HC main for sure.. hate autos. But Id like bungie to test the waters of buffing other things like giving 140/110 hcs back the range they use to have. Id be curious to see if this would soften the 600rpm plague a bit. Also autos should not be out ranging pulses and slow rof hcs.

this game needs to have the flinch mechanic reworked. needs to have classes to actually be balanced. needs snipers to be made way more difficult to use. needs mountaintop to be summarily deleted. needs roaming supers to disappear. then you can go into more specific nerfs
-
1 ReplyIt’s not 600 RPM rifles alone, it’s the fact that Bungie is literally giving Gnawing Hunger away in the Umbral engrams. Why WOULDN’T players use it since it’s so easy to get. Plenty of other weapons can compete in PvP, this one is just the most accessible.

I love using autos but the 600rpm archetype is a little busted rn lol
