The last couple weeks I've been seeing a lot more players simply appearing next to another player that is almost dead or just died as well as flags that I'm capturing.
I'm not talking about hunter/warlock invis. I'm talking about people just appearing suddenly right in front of your cam with no animations or anything.
Been wondering if its the PtoP type of pvp system this game employs getting worse because My connection is 500d/20u stable with low ping.
I even saw it happen on a well known D2 you tuber's video.

4 RepliesCan someone explain why the network connection is designed so that the worst internet you have, the more advantage you have? While people with good internet get penalized. It should be the other way around so it incentivize people to get good internet.

A lot of people have crappy internet

Edited by LuckyPants: 7/16/2020 2:28:26 PMCbmm makes avrgs and below frustrated and ppl quits simple as that being myself a bit over average i dont play QP anymore IF i play i go into Survival play few matches and call it a day. Check this man tweet he knows something we dont know but everything pointing that im right: https://twitter.com/joshua_menke/status/1271454825369047042?s=20 And history shows its going t be even worst than that. Sbmm WILL make a return eventually its just a matter of time.

1 ReplyEdited by TheCyo: 7/15/2020 9:24:21 AMHoneymoon Phase of CBMM: Seemingly record population because nobody likes SBMM and all the players are coming back. Oh, it's so much fun stomping with 50 frags. Git gud. Now: First Iron Banner with new weapons (after multiple seasons) is over. All the regular players (who are neither on reddit nor here btw) noticed that something has changed, and these changes did not enhance the fun factor for them. They are gone now, it took a while, but they are clearly gone now. Like predicted, we are back to SBMM by fiat of preselecting the playing population to the sweatist. They are the only ones left playing. hf

This is the 'advantage' of CBMM, not everyones connections remain connected to the wifi, lag occurs, working as bungie intended.

Connection in general has gone down the drain. Rubberbanding players in PvP, damage not registering until you’re already dead, animations not working properly, enemies in PVE regaining health as you damage them, Motes not being dropped by dead taken knights in the dungeon, etc. the list goes on, and on. I’m a decent PvP player, but I can’t kill teleporting arc striders that hit me in the crest of my jump while they’re on the ground for me. Me and my buddies had to restart the prophecy dungeon twice due to connection issues, or glitches. I don’t know what the small patch did yesterday, but it broke everything in D2. Gonna take a break for a bit, and hope it’s fixed.
my internet is pretty solid most of the time, and I’m fine I’m pretty much everything else I do except for D2 (On PS4 btw)
Having this issue in pve a lot recently

Edited by ScrubLord199901: 7/15/2020 4:40:36 PMIt has been happening in pve too. I'm not talking about taken captains, taken thralls, taken knights, fallen captains or vex either. Here I am just shooting enemies where they stand and all of a sudden they lag teleport to a completely different location then suddenly appear in front of me. Rubberbanding? I dunno. All I know is that this only happens when I'm in a fireteam. It doesn't happen when I'm on my own in patrols or story.

It’s cbmm remember

I hear ya...add the aimbots and wall hacks, wish I'd have never paid for a season. I won't make the same mistake again.

2 RepliesThat's PC for you 😁 Also, warlock invis? Where?
-
6 RepliesI played a couple of games of quickppay tonight on console, and holy shit it was sweaty. Eating a box of tacs was more enjoyable at parts.
-
It's also happening in pve.
-
Your network is irrelevant. All it takes is one person with a bad connection to the host.
-
2 RepliesP2P is dogsh**. The system they are using for connection baised is broken when I see Japanese players in my lobby... I live in the middle of the US.
-
Either cheaters lag-switching, or fireteams with diverse geography (which is also cheating). Ban them all.

4 RepliesAs the PVP player base continues to decline because of CBMM being enabled you’ll end up with lobbies of players from everywhere and the lag naturally happens because of the P2P. CBMM is to blame. If SBMM was still in place the games you play would still have lag(because P2P)only they would be more fun to play because you’d be having better overall games. With CBMM it’s either stomp or get stomped. The amount of close fun games you experience with CBMM are virtually nonexistent. Content creators and PVP tryhards will say otherwise but the truth of the matter is that CBMM causes too much variation in the gameplay match to match to provide a consistent fun experience for the average player.
-
20 RepliesThis proves that CBMM is not the answer to lag. Dedicated servers are.
-
2 Replies100% agree man, Ive got 24ms ping and 400mbps down and destiny is the only game where I notice consistent crap connection
-
Enemy teleports every single game tonight. Not even exaggerating.
-
P2P is trash and Bungies knows that, hell even EA!!!!! Pays for Servers.
-
4 RepliesHow is that sweet, sweet CBMM working out?
-
Make PVE connection base
-
I see this more in pve than I do in pvp... bungie please make pve cbmm!
