I feel really hurt right now...
I need to take a break. I've been told something I would rather not say.
[spoiler]if you all were wondering, I have A.D.D and a learning problem. Someone said something that really hurt to me, that people have told me in the past. I hate being reminded of it.

Edit: For the person that told me this comment... I want to say that I dont hate you. I've been taken advantage of by one of my friends, I've been called dumb for a few years in my childhood, and I cant take it anymore. Thanks for reminding me.
This may seem like an overreaction, but for me, it isn't. I have problems that most of you don't have.
Edit 2: another reason I wont be as active is because of basketball, running, mainly being active. Plus, I'm getting older, so I'm starting to like to work around the place I live in.

4 RepliesI'm not sure how old you, but I'm assuming you are younger (between 16-20?). And I don't mean that in a bad way or in the sense that you are acting immaturely about all of this. The reason I say that is because part of getting older is getting more and more comfortable with who YOU are as a person. It becomes easier to recognize toxic personalities, negative attitudes and people who generally are not good for you. I would suggest using this as a learning opportunity and to try and grow from it. Letting something like this defeat you will only enable further occasions to be let down or hurt. Not trying to preach, just trying to give some genuine thought. I don't know you or fully understand your situation, but I do know that you can be bigger than this and this shitty person whom you are describing. Keep your head up!

I too have A.D.D. feels like my mind jumps and moves too fast to learn complex things. Then I blazed a J...I now have two PhDs.

7 RepliesIf I may offer a word of advice, learn the skill of self deprecation. Embrace who you are and learn how to joke about your deficiencies. We all have something we don’t like about ourselves. Being able to joke about yourself will increase your confidence AND make everyone else less uncomfortable around you.

It happens man. I cant go into detail of stuff I've dealt with as I dont wanna go through all of it again, but just know that things happen. Not everyone will be nice to you, you dont have to try and please everyone, just do what's best for you and your situation and keep going. Itll all fall into place eventually
