Dang man, I used to come here for some laughs.
Lately I need 2 -blam!- and a beer to wade through this tragic swamp.
*Well, I just tried playing Division 2 and I can tell you that is way worse than this, for what that's worth

2 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 5/7/2020 5:40:45 PM
*Well, I just tried playing Division 2 and I can tell you that is way worse than this, for what that's worth
It is and it isn't. Which is what makes that game so frustrating. In terms of raw material, The Division 2 actually has more to work with, and has the potential to become a better game than Destiny 2 at this point. The problem is that Massive has no -blam!-ING idea how to tune a game properly.....their QA is terrible....and they can't seem to get through their heads that players want to feel powerful. At higher levels of difficulty, even the trash mobs do so much damage that the open world is almost unplayable as a solo player. Even worse, Massive can't seem to grasp the idea that a cover-based shooter with no effective cover isn't "challenging". Its crazy-making. At least once per play session I'm dying because NPCs just randomly spawn BEHIND you....and the Rogue Agent mechanic is just BROKEN right now. (Yeah. Lets thrown FOUR of the most powerful, most tanky bosses in the game at you at the same time.....and if it isn't an instant team wipe, you get loot that is crap.) If you gave Bungie access to Massive's systems design people.....and Massive access to Bungie's sandbox people..... ....you'd wind up with TWO great games. Cause Bungie has the game play down....but Destiny is hampered by broken/poorly designed systems. While Massive can design great systems....but can't find their own ass with both hands and a roadmap where tuning a game is concerned.

4 RepliesI wish I could like Division 2 you know what ruins it for me? Too many on screen indicators. I have too much stuff to look at and I hate it.
-
6 RepliesEdited by Yura Dumaz: 5/4/2020 6:41:17 PMNever played Division but at least they listen to their community and don't lock stuff behind a cash shop. Edit-statement was wrong, seems experienced people know both games are pretty trash.

16 RepliesCause and effect. Bungie keeps making shitty decisions, so players are going to keep making shitty complaints about those shitty decisions. Bungie deserves all the shit they get. Personally I don’t believe they get enough.

Try Offtopic...

1 ReplyI’ve seen you on here enough to where you should know that by now These forums have always been toxic
-
Division has always been the shittier destiny game. People say destiny is boring but -blam!- man I never felt like encounter to encounter that anything really changed in that game. Every fight felt exactly the same.
-
2 RepliesGo to r/destinythe game on reddit. Thank me later

Well when threads that are made to lighten the mood, they get downvoted and/or met with "Ninja Justice."

3 RepliesI just started division 2 and I can't believe how much more than destiny I like it. Maybe I'm bored of destiny with 1700 hours in D2, but apart from the different playstyle of cover shooter vs fps, everything in division is better except enemy and location variety. As a game and play mechanics Division is superior no question. Gear is better, rpg systems better, build complexity, weapon rng, matchmaking, mission system, replay ability even of missions and modifiers, public events. Maybe I'll get bored of division, but at the moment it kicks D2's ass.

1 ReplyEdited by Jamestown01010: 5/4/2020 6:03:31 AMI tried Monster Hunter. Disappointed big time. Destiny is still one of the best games out there. Despite its mountain of flaws, it is fun when you build a powerful guardian. The motion, gunplay and scenery are masterpieces. I am not a fanboi, just being honest. I take breaks lately then come back after a few days or a week.

7 RepliesWelcome to the place where everything is wrong about the game from auto rifles (now that they got buffed when people cried for it), to hand cannons (even though they're about where they were at at the end of D1), to snipers, to PvP, to PvE, to Eververse, to Gambit. People complain way too much here, because the game isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Yes, there are aspects that need to be looked at, like the bounty grind, but it really isn't as bad as people say it is. There isn't a single community I've met for this game that isn't full of toxic complainers and I've hardly had a thorough discussion of this game. If I try to bring up an idea about this game, if it isn't on the bandwagon (lol JuSt DeLeTe ReVoKeR), I get greeted by "your idea is -blam!-ing terrible", "you're a dumbass", "you literally don't know how to balance a game", without any constructive criticism about my idea. I believe the game isn't the issue, the community is.

Abandoned hope, all ye who enter here.

Same. I used to come to watch the fire. Now it’s just depressing watching the remaining fanbois sift through the ashes.
-
Warzone is free. It's well worth trying. If you don't like it, you're not out anything. Destiny slowly dying is pretty depressing. It's not like we want destiny to be in a bad place. Is what it is. Best to move on until they put some actual content in the game. Bounties aren't going to bring me back

it's a different game it's a good game not a great game, but it's a totally different game, and if you just started you have no idea how deep the min/maxing and custom builds go. YOu have to get to world tier 5 before you can even do that stuff it may not be a game for you, but it is NOT "worse than this". it IS however, different. it's not a fast game to get into, and much of the "lore" is found in computers or other electronic devices, or "echo" locations. so, to even understand the whole backstory of the game requires you actually do quite a bit of the side missions and other things. It's VERY grindy. And so, again it may not be a game for you, but it is NOT a bad game, or "worse" than Destiny. The 2 games will attract different people, although, there are some, like myself that enjoy both games and spend significant time in each.

5 RepliesEdited by JohnTaper: 5/4/2020 3:02:42 AMWarzone couldn't have come out at a better time. If you need a break from destiny, i highly recommend giving warzone a try. Enjoyed it enough that i bought the full game and battle pass. Finished battle pass already. Used to play destiny every day for years. Got on first day of guardian games. Went right back to warzone. Haven't touched destiny in a month.

Anthem is better than Destiny 2 right now so if Division 2 is worse then yikes ... Is everyone taking ques on how to destroy the games from Bethesda and Anita Sarkesian? ....

Come play ffxiv then

3 RepliesI picked up stardew valley the other day and I’m loving it. It’s a nice blend of nostalgia and new all in one.
-
6 RepliesThe state of the community is usually a reflection on the state of the game. I check here occasionally to see if the community and therefore the game is still a dumpster fire. So far it definitely seems like it is.
-
I agree with you I mainly do raid but rarely to do raid due to people are toxic, shout to other, sweaty, blamed and kicked people during the raid I can’t deal with it anymore
-
I haven't played D2 in about 6 months, so I came here to see if much has changed and It's just wall to wall negativity. I guess I'm gonna have to see the damage for myself.
-
Yeah it's really bad, offtopic Isa really cool place though, everyone is super nice and just making jokes. Then there's this salt mine hellhole, it's fun to browse, but not for laughs or fun.
-
2 RepliesIt was never different no?! How else should you get your daily Dose of Salt and Sarcasm. Also most of the People here make me still laugh hard every Day. It's better than Comedy.😂
