Personally, the forums have an app which means smooth and quick access to a forum which is relatively active and much less of an inconvenience to post on compared to other forums on a mobile. What about you guys?

... It's fun, I like the people and undead creatures, and inanimate objects etc; etc;... Also because this is one of the few places I talk about weeb shit without a million otakus and/or lolicons appearing...
not included in the DLC
1 ReplyI don’t know anymore. There are some good posts and I have some friends here who I pm. Plus it helps with boredom sometimes.
-
5 RepliesI haven't the slightest clue. It's not like I have ever fit in with anyone or am liked by anyone. Not saying those are reasons to be here or any forum for that matter, but if I don't even have either of those, what's the point?
-
Out of habit. Not sure why, I really don’t like this place that much lol but I’ve been coming for so long.
-
i go to #Destiny2 for casual PVP. i come to #Offtopic because i have poor social skills.
-
I swear I'm only here for the plot
-
Came to get involved with the community. Stayed because I'm chained to a computer desk.
-
Honestly I come here now just to meet new people to play with

1 ReplyI use mobile because it’s better than the website. I come here because I don’t have any social media other than discord. Don’t get me wrong, but I do want to be here, I just first came here because I though it was the closest thing to SO. Now that I’m no longer a lurker, I’m glad I decided to post here. I hope that during my time here that I will be part of another “golden age” here.

Mostly curiosity when I'm bored.

4 RepliesI wonder about that myself these days. I mainly converse now in another app, but that app is more of a free for all & not conducive to a good shitpost, which I find OffTopic is. At the same time, I have lost so many users that made my day so much brighter, that it is hard to want to come here anymore, because I still hope to see their likes or their replies, even though some of them have been gone for a couple of years now. I never took the time to get email addresses or Facebook nonsense so I could stay in touch, because I figured I had all the time in the world. So honestly, I don't know why I come here anymore. Habit, I guess.

I think I’ve answered this question before. I still play density. Don’t @ me, but I do. I have my reasons, like others who either don’t play it, or still do. The app allows me to transfer my weapons between my three characters and my vault. Sometimes during the painful loading times, I’ll glance at offtopic if I’m not checking discord or lifting dumbbells. I also do something else involving Density that requires the forums, but this is offtopic, and I know what’s appropriate.

I’ve got friends, a small audience to read my stories, plenty of posts to read and contribute to, strangers to converse with, and a place to spontaneously post all the bullshit I come up with during the day. It’s a perfect place. Though the population may be dwindling and the 13 year olds are starting to take over, I don’t have any reason to leave yet.

1. Because I have no friends. 2. I like to listen to idiotic conversation. (damn, I miss being a drunkard)

Edited by DarkShadow5300: 4/3/2020 1:14:49 AM“Why do I come on this forum? Nobody ever pays attention to any of my posts.” *Darkness my old Friend appears* “Oh hi Darkness. I was just wondering why I keep coming on the Destiny forums. Like, everyone ignores the posts that I make!” ”Well, there’s a few reasons for that.” “Like what?” Welp, for starters, all of your posts have been about as interesting as The Phantom Menace, no offense. And as for why you keep coming on here anyway, the answer lies in the fact that you literally have no life. You’re just a sad, single bum who plays video games and wishes he was dating some fictional character who would be way out of your league even if they did really exist.” “Sometimes I really don’t like you.” *As Darkness begins to leave he turns his shadowy head around and whispers* ”It’s true tho.”

I’m sorry, that is classified information.

Edited by Seraph: 4/3/2020 10:57:55 AMMostly convenience. I had to create a B.net account to access the original Destiny Beta. And, I had to download the stupid app because the original Destiny was such a shit show that all the in-game lore could only be accessed online. I’m also very, very fussy about giving out personal details, and signing up for stuff, so I’m not a member of any other social media groups, or other online message boards ( at the moment ). So, basically, I have the app, and I have the account, so I might as well use it. As for why I specifically come to Off Topic, to be blunt, the “Entertainment”. It’s never dull here in Off Topic, even when I have no idea what most of the posts are about.

At this point, I really only come here because I enjoy reading a few peoples posts.

Well, I came for item transfer thingy regarding the vaults in density. Shortly after, I found my way into this...odd place. Yeah, that was almost 5 effin years ago. I remember the days of Lincoln, Solaris, Commander Recon 54 and other legendary names, some of which I remember only by how they behaved. And also the, at best, mildly unfriendly "debates". That was strange times indeed. I guess I don't really know why im still here. I've been around so long that it just doesn't feel right to leave I suppose. I've seen and survived a few purges by now. Witnessing how the entire community changed after each purge was quite something. I love this place to be honest, even with all it's faults, crazy shit and whatnot. It just invokes an intense sense of nostalgia. That's probably why im still around.
and, ya know, my name is nothing but a remnant of a dead meme. So thats reason nr 2.
I came to destiny after the fall of call of duty, and eventually discovered offtopic, it is a place different than the rest, a place I can relax... The same cannot be said about the northern people up in the salt mines...
-
First I came for Destiny and then RP and when those died just shitposts. Then I actually got into politics. Now that's banned so now I'm just looking for something new, anime is probably next.
-
2 RepliesI honestly don’t know. Habit I guess.

I like the community, and this is the best RP site I know.
Hecking Spitfires
I use to come to these forums to read the alt-right posts, due to the insanity. Now, I’m not sure.
