What's the point of Exotics anymore?
No really, whats there purpose anymore?
Every time they add a new exotic that's actually good and can compare to god roll Legendary weapons, they get nerfed to the ground in a matter of months or weeks.
Whipser of the Worm, Sleeper Simulant, Inzaghi Burden, Lord of Wolves Ace of Spades, The Last Word, all nerfed. Then D1 weapons that made a comeback but weren't as good, like Thorn and Queen Breaker's Bow, or weapons they refuse to bring back, two of the many being Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker.
Exotics are suppose to be the trademark weapons of Destiny. For me, the Last Word is comparable to Luke Skywalker's lightsaber. Its iconic, along with many other weapons.
Why do you guys keep nerfing them then, so that they are inferior to Legendaries?! If they are powerful, THAT'S CAUSE THEY ARE "EXOTIC".

12 RepliesThe entire point of Exotics is that they have a Exotic perk that is only unique to them. Exotics were never intended to be powerful weapons to outperform Legendaries. The problem is that Bungie released exotics in states that makes them seem to be powerful. GHorn wasn't powerful because it was a Rocket Launcher with cluster bombs; it was powerful because it had the ability to create more damage due to precise homing cluster bombs.
