As this is likely to get buried...
I earned Not Forgotten.Yay!
Really only posting as encouragement to those who may be on the fence about the Glory grind. Whether it's going for a pinnacle weapon or trying for LEGEND, it can be done.
I stuck with the solo playlist and finished last night.
If this D1 potato can do it, so can you!
Good luck, eye on the prize, just do it, eyes up Guardian.

A lot of good advice on how to approach the grind, so no need to rehash that.
What I will clarify are the "EASY/EASIER" comments...
I don't consider the grind easier, simply Fair (especially for solo players). I've had plenty of moments where MM'g decided to be the filthiest Saun-A-Beach on the face of the planet.
But I've also experienced the good. The changes they made last season make this a Night&Day difference, when compared to the old comp system.

It wasn't skill, it was playing the absolute cheesiest way possible and dedicating several months of your gaming life to it.

Well done, I got my NF too this season, even though I was legend last season before (didnt do the quest ^^). And atm is really the best time to go legend. Went 4.5k points solo and did the rest with ppl I got from LFG discord. But dont think of getting carried, DONT get 2 unbroken, bc SBMM will get ya. yes i tried it, I mean they offered it so I thought why not. Didnt work out that well, lost 5 in a row. So I got ppl in my league and after 3 days I was legend. Sure you will loose a fair amount but there are enough people out there that arent that good. It may be a bit of luck involved to match those, but it's possible. I'm not that good, think a bit above average, didnt use LOW or Mindbenders, you dont have to use broken shit to win and still it was fairly easy to get to 5.5k. So yea: GO FOR IT ! :)

See I haven't gone for nf for one reason. I really hated lunas howl , I got it post nerf (never knew it as a 180) when the recluse was up for grabs and the actual quest took 1 day , tell me if I dislike lunas howl and basically given up on hc after the range nerf ( not being negative I'd just rather use a sidearm) what would the point of going for nf be in this scout, pulse , sniper , shotgun , fusion meta ? Plus the guns ugly , dont know why it has to have the crucible tramp stamp on the side so big. Naw I dont think doubling my glory for 7 shards is worth it , I already got to many guns to use

I'm not even an average pvp player (alright I do have the odd moment but I'm not consistently good and I really dislike comp games losing points on losses, but whatever ) I've played 16 games this season and won only 8 and I'm at 1962 glory. I'm just going for fabled to finish Mountaintop. I've just played 3 games a week (4 this week) over the last 5 weeks and taken advantage of the weekly reset bonus. With next week's bonus even if I lose all 3 matches I'll still hit fabled the next reset. If you're thinking of doing comp just for one of the old pinnacle weapons it's so much easier than ever and definitely worth an attempt.

1 ReplyCongrats! I am also the same category, and got all the other PvP Pinnacle weapons, just NF to go... Currently at 40% Luna Kills, it's a grind with the nerfs. Although even in it's apparently much reduced state I still love Luna's Howl Did you really get all the way to Legend Solo?
