Bungie, your events are boring.

You’d think that during a Christmas event there would be something new and fun to do, maybe some Holliday themed changes (other than simply snowballs) and fun loot to earn, sadly we don’t see this here or with any other bungie event for that matter. This leaves events feeling boring and almost meaningless. It doesn’t help that 90% of the items added for the event are from eververse only and require a lot of tedious grinding on all 3 characters for bright dust if you want to get some of what’s to offer without spending money. And what do we have to do for bright dust you may ask? Old content that has nothing to do with the event. So why make it an event in the first place? Why not simply add these items to eververse without the illusion of an interesting event? Or how about you make something fun and new to earn the new items instead of placing them behind tedious grinding or overpriced microtransactions? I don’t speak for everyone, but what I mentioned just leaves me feeling bored and burnt out after a single day. Collecting materials to bake cookies and delivering them to npc’s for items? Cool how do I get the materials? Oh, those same activities I’ve done hundreds of times over the past 2 years, only for items not half as interesting as what I basically have to pay money for from eververse. Yay. Look Bungie, either make these events interesting and actually rewarding or don’t bother wasting your resources on them, because every single one has the same problems and it’s just a waste of time.

  • I agree that these events are kind of a waste of resources from a game-play/value-add perspective. But, if you look at it as a way to push people to eververse then its probably not a waste from Bungie's perspective. They probably make a good ROI based on the resources they put on these 'events'. Just my 2 cents.

      • So you're basically bored of the game. Take a break...or go play something else. You are playing a FREE event. OF COURSE they are going to recycle content, and ask you to play familar stuff. The game isn't boring. Your expectations with respect to what you think you should get are WAY out of whack.

        • I actually jumped into Fortnite last Christmas after not playing for a few months and was pleasantly surprised to see that you could earn some free stuff everyday through their "12 days of Christmas" or whatever it was. It's supposed to be the season of giving but I guess that doesn't apply to good ol' Bungo.

          • Maybe if you actually played for 10mins instead of getting the quest doubting yourself and making a crudpost you would feel less bored Or would you rather go back to fortnite

            • It is rewarding. The bounties yield double XP for those trying to advance the season pass. Other than that... all the excitement of a baking simulator.

It's really frustrating knowing bungie could easily do better, and how they could because I play a phone game that is doing that. Step 1: Never take away from players. You always have to do it indirectly. Anyway that's not to mention games in general sucking ass at seasonal content more often than not, and a game like Animal Crossing is still better at it lol.

            • Everything is boring, these seasons are crap, literally lose interest within the first week and everything in shadowkeep got old after a few weeks, I struggle to play more than 30 minutes

              • The only thing I look forward to for The Dawning is the lore books and triumphs. Once I get all those then I pretty much am done with the event. I wish Bungie would implement something similar in the Crucible to where we can throw snowballs at each other and they kill enemy guardians. Make it fun and silly. I mean we have a Crucible game mode where we have scorch cannons after all. Lol

                • What? An update centered entirely around the cash shop, and a fetch quest isn't riveting enough for you? Do they have to bring back the infinite forest for the fourth time (which is incredibly creative, and fun to do, and not at all a boring chore in the slightest) to make you happy? Do you know how hard it is for them to add pumpkins to the forest? Maybe you thought these eververse funded events would have a higher budget than five dollars, due to the pervasive, overblown cash shop, but that's because you're ungrateful, and don't appreciate how Bungie tries to squeeze every penny out of you while providing the bare minimum that they can in return.

It has to be rinse and repeat. Making content is hard. Especially stuff like Obelisks that aren't bugged, getting Osiris to talk to you instead of making players read a wall of fricking text while he just stares at you and actually telling players what the next step with Saint 14 is rather then just leaving hanging after corridors of Time 2. Actually putting time in to make creative content, that works as intended, would mean they wouldn't be able to make the tat to hawk at you in Eververse. You know, like little Drop Pod ghosts and stupid emotes. Isn't it funny how Eververse never seem to gltich ?? I am tired of their shoddy buggy rinse and repeat efforts and Eververse being their focus.

                    • I just think events should bring double xp bonuses and only revolve around the seasons happenings. Tired of Bungie scattering everything all over the place, feels like I just rush around like a headless chook
