Crucible is all snipers and arbalests
most insanely boring meta ever
more painful on pc where peeps use mice for constant immediate headshots
this is a 'chase every casual out of crucible' kind of meta

2 RepliesTrue, also full of shotguns and fusions. the problem lies in the scavenger mods. There shouldn´t be so much special ammo available. I think that scavenger mods should go away or we should get back to the old green boxes in order to get special ammo.

Then majority got their Randy's quest done, stopped using scouts and the meta loadouts resurfaced. Arbabesto's also the reason snipers might be slightly more prevalent right now. LFRs are handicapped snipers and an actual sniper hard counters a LFR. So while folks are doing their Komodo quest and spamming arbalest, a sniper is the best thing to counter it. Try it out. For reference I can spam 2 bodyshots (rapid meme frames) in the time it takes an arbalest to charge up a shot. Headshot from me kills them before the charge finishes. Arbalest is the easiest special to shut down that I've seen besides fusion rifles. Play cover. At least on PC these things aren't issues.

I know it’s frustrating, I definitely was at first. But I’m actually looking at this as a perfect time to up my sniper game. Get a good rolled twilight oath from menagerie (box breathing/snapshot) and just start working on your sniping abilities. I’m still pretty average at sniping mind you... but After about 5-10 games you will surprise yourself. Learn to adapt my friend. That’s the name of the game in crucible

The reason behind this is because of the Linear crucible quest, similar to when the revolker was up for the taking. Shotgun meta is actually worse tbh as during forsaken the whole Luna's and dust rock combo made crucible unplayable for anyone who didnt have luna's to compete Also its actually not that boring at all, in fact most of the games i played were pretty fun as "getting good" with a sniper rifle or linear fusion rifle is a lot more rewarding on console, as it was for me when i had worked on my revolker quest and i never really picked up a shotgun after that, mainly because jumping around like an ape with a shotgun is not as satisfying as getting a bs level cross map snipe But thats just my opinion

It's not even really a meta, people will take off arbalest when they get their kills for Komodo.

How else are they supposed to get the ritual weapon? I mean literally that's the quest: Use LFR in PVP.

Haven't even stepped foot in crucible yet. Not looking forward to it either as I am not a fan of either weapon in crucible. Arbalest makes me feel running your nails on a chalkboard. 🥴

SMGs do not feel right at all right now. I used to use heroes burden and riskrunner all the time in crucible and I know very well how those 2 guns should handle and perform. But ever since the dawning season dropped both those guns have been performing horribly. On my Titan when I run riskrunner and peacekeepers it jumps all over the place, way more than it should and it's range seems to be a lot less now. Same with my heroes burden. I've got 3 different heroes burden SMGs and all of them suck ass now. The one has zen moment and a stability masterwork with a counterbalance mod, the thing was like a laser beam before, now when i shoot it jumps all over the place, it's like I'm using hard light.
