Raiding with children (17 and under) experience
BRAAAAAAA REEEEEEEEE REEEEEEEEE BRAAAA BRAA BRAAAAAA I LOVE THE SOUND OF MY OWN VOICE AND I AM TALKING NON-STOP CAUSING MIGRAINES TO ALL THE OKAY BOOMERS WHICH I AM NOT EVEN USING RIGHT BECAUSE PEOPLE BORN IN 80s ARE NOT BOOMERS. NOT ONLY CAN I NOT STOP TALKING FOR 3 F-ING SECONDS, I AM GOING TO ATTEMPT TO INSULT THE SH_T OUT OF YOU BECAUSE YOU TOLD ME TO TAKE A BREATHER. ZERO F_CKING FOCUS ON THE RAID AND DYING ALL THE TIME WITH THE FULL INTENT ON BLAMING YOU.
^Every single raid experience from yesterday. What happened to the adults only groups? I couldnt find any. I assumed Chill group meant adults only but that was a f_cking lie. I invite my clan mate in when someone drops doing them a favor and they treat him like Sh_t meanwhile these clowns cant follow simple directions for the life of them. One dude had 15 clears and here I am thinking okay this will be quick but NO, we are stuck on the friggen Harpy boss encounter which is EZ as sh_t.

You should know better by now. Do not, under no circumstances play with kids. Now, I've experienced something different with Latin and Hispanic kids, Some of them (I even dare to say than up to 60% off them) are quiet and chill when playing. They might not be as good as you would want them to be but quietly

So ive completed the raid with my 3 characters this week and I made sure I was joining groups that were there to beat the raid and not have fun so it was a positive experience for everyone. We did have one player who had all the things needed to be great at the raid boss (recluse, catalyst Izanagi) but every single damage phase, he put out the least damage. Now this im fine with because he was honesty trying and was taking positive feedback. I asked him to show me the Honed edge reload to see he could do it. He just couldnt hit the crit is all. by the 9th attempt, my mic and completed disconnected communication for the party and I was playing deaf which was a REALLY nice change of pace lol. It was awesome watching everyone play their roles quietly, everyone knew what to do. Rebuilding even went smoothly. I understood when to rebuild and we just did it lol. We actually beat the boss that round and I believe I cranked out at least 3 million damage. Good experience regardless of the several attempts.

I’m finding it very interesting how many younger guardians are feeling the need to defend or justify themselves. “I’m _______ year’s old and I’m not like that.” Look, we’re likely not talking about you in particular; we are talking about the majority in a stereotypical fashion. If you don’t conform to the stereotype, cool, I’m sure the majority of the community would be happy to raid with you. However, please realize you are not representative of your age group as a whole.

While when I find an obnoxious kid, it can be pretty bad, there are far more frequent obnoxious adults for raiding.

I just don’t bother playing with other people outside of matchmaking, and whenever I hear someone else’s mic I immediately mute them. I only have a single D2 raid clear and I have yet to finish a dungeon but I don’t really care. Having to coordinate with strangers is never fun.

12 RepliesI have to apologize for this post. This turned into a kids vs adults trending post and that wasn’t intentional. I just wanted to let kids understand that it drives players away if you can’t focus on the game and continue outside conversations. If you have 200+ clears, that’s amazing. Good job. If your in middle school and find that your usually the best player in the raid group. That’s awesome and please keep it up maybe I’ll end up in a match with you and we get a completion together! If your 16 and you’ve claimed your better than most boomers with 1 clear of the new raid and that’s it, good for you. I honestly hope we never end up in a raid match together because of your attitude but keep up the good work! If you are a kid who’s afraid to speak up in a raid party, just speak up. It’s fine, know that if they boot you then those guys are probably tools anyway and you can find a better raid team. I will play with kids as long as they try their best at the raid. Yes this post did start out as a rant because some high school brats were rude as hell to me and I ran into it on more than one occasion the other day. Next time I’ll just leave instead of letting them bash over and over.

Take a 100 second hit from his pipe guy. - eat your mic guy - mouth breather - you should be an Auctioneer guy. - all I speak is meme guy - if I say -blam!- enough I'll become immortal guy -mental breakdown guy - how many dogs do you have guy - take my mic into the bathroom so everyone can hear me piss and drop a hard Duke guy. - I'm pretty sure someone is about to get shot argument. - I can literally hear my TV through your TV headset guy.. They exist in all age groups from 7yr to late 40's-50's etc.. I can keep listing them until my phone explodes. Yet I've never reported or trash talked them on the forums or anything. I simply finish whatever we're doing and never play with them again. :)

8 RepliesI played Prestige Leviathan with a 5 year old back in the day. Kid was an absolute madlad and I wish he'd join us for the later raids too. I think the age 12-17 is the zone of avoidance. Also played with a 70 year old dude, also great guy.
