Why do boomers point at their phones to type instead of using their thumbs?
I'm sitting in the car with my mum while she composes an email and it's driving me insane... She's typing one letter at a time 'cause she's just using her right index finger. Why is it so hard for boomers to technology?

Poor hand eye coordination, pointing helps them aim for the letters they want to hit. If only they had fortnite when they were young their hand eye coordination would be god tier like today's generation

5 RepliesBecause she probably spent as much time hunting-and-pecking with that index finger on a real keyboard as you’ve spent typing with your thumbs on a smart phone. She’s doing what is effective and efficient for her, and doesn’t need your approval. Same reason I play inverted Y-axis with shooters. Too many years playing flight sims and I don’t care to reprogram my brain to please kids.

I use my right middle finger. Using my thumbs is both slower & more uncomfortable.
