I have just tried the game again and unfortunately it still doesnt work. I checked my cross save page and it shows my usernames on both Xbox and Steam but not on the battlenet. Maybe the problem is there? However I do not wish to keep taking up your time with this problem so I think Ill wait until October and try again then. Thank you for all your help.

No worries. We can continue trying if you'd like. Did you happen to buy the game on Battle.net and then enable Cross Save, but you never had created a character before?

I got the game on battle.net when they made it free for a short period. I made a character to play around with and started making my way though the campaign a while back but don't really play on it much as my main platform is Xbox. So I did have an active character so to speak before I first enabled cross save.
