So can Backup Mag show us the increase beforehand?

As much as I'd like to slap on a Backup Mag on certain weapons, I just can't tell how much it'll actually add. Sometimes it'll add just enough, sometimes not enough. Like giving my hand cannon 3 shots is a lot but giving my SMG 3 bullets is not a lot(unless it's The Recluse). Instead of having just that arrow up button, why don't we just have a green number and that up arrow to indicate that it'll change to that? Not the biggest deal but sometimes times it's just nice to know before I have to replace that mod with something else if it wasn't worth it.

  • I had the same problem when I was starting to mod my favorite weapons. Turns out the big thing you'll want to check is the maximum magazine size on the weapon type you are looking at. For instance: I believe hand cannons max out at 14 rounds/magazine. So if you have a handcannon with a 13 round mag it will only add 1 round. If you use the same mod on a handcannon with 11 rounds though then backup mag would add 3 to the magazine. In short: backup mag adds around 25-30%, but caps out at the weapon types maximum
