I'm out-

I need to get back to the real world, something is going on with my digestive tract, may be stress related, could be IBS. But I need to get off Bnet for a while. Wednesday will be 3 weeks with no cigarettes. Hooray... Why do I feel like I haven't accomplished much. All this suicide shit has been depressing... just watched a video about boogie2298 or whatever the -blam!- his handle is... People follow that guy... and listen to that shit... God that's -blam!-ing depressing. Agh... Been shitting water for the past 3 weeks... Not a shitpost... I drove up a mountain the other day, but it just made me realize what a -blam!-ing non-accomplishment that really is ... I'm bumming hardcore man- If ever there was a time I wanted to smoke a -blam!-ing spliff- it would be now. Wont do it, made too much progress so far. I hate having to work for a living- That's when I see streamers complaining about their lives I want to reach through the screen and strangle them. Weird rant Tuesday fu

Hit a bong, tobacco free of course. I always found whilst trying to get off the cigs, a weekly purchase and toot was a just reward for not smoking all week. Believe me, giving up both at the same time is DIFFICULT as hell, and I'm a total asshole whilst i try. One thing i found since giving up tobacco, is that i can regulate my mary jane intake which is something i could never do previously. Gone from a daily toker, to a weekly, sometimes even monthly toker. Tried all NRT and failed miserably every time. I'm vaping now, and it is the easiest way I've found so far. Are you going cold turkey on both?

    • It’s a natural reaction to the breaking of a habit like smoking from what I’ve heard, power through it it’ll fade!
Sorry, all out of salt!
• You should look into GERD. It's common for smokers, and isn't hard to avoid if you know about it.

    • Now your sounding like a person that recently quit smoking. Smoke a joint if it helps, not a spliff. Your doing well man this part is the hardest, your fighting chemical and physical addiction, physical should be gone in a week or 2.

        • You are an interesting OffTopian. Highly entertaining. (Trying to give some positive feedback here. Because that “accomplished nothing” part) About your shit post...after 3 weeks the good bacteria in your intestines are probably all gone. Ask the doctor about something to replenish them (Can’t remember the name of the stuff) with them gone it gets more and more difficult to get better. You probably were using the cigarettes as anti stressing help. Look for something else (walking outside, yoga, kickboxing, playing saxophone 🤷‍♀️) Good luck! And get better soon!

          • I’ve been in a bad place before with anxiety depression, feeling stagnant in life, that hopeless helpless kinda rut where nothing seems to bring happiness. I feel for you man. You should be proud of not smoking. It’s tough. Being able to stick with that means you have a hell of a lot more grit and willpower than maybe you’re giving yourself credit for. Quitting smoking can really mess with your neurology. When I went through my emotional stuff and was trying to quit it was really rough. I tried researching it from a scientific angle, because getting caught up in the emotional aspects just brought me down more. A trick to re train your neurology to allow for more endorphin production and resulting happiness was developed by some researchers trying to help with PTSD (there is a new more accurate term now that I can’t recall) sufferers. I’m not saying you’re in that bad of a spot, but it might help. Spend some time going through all the crap that makes you feel down. Analyze a little on why you feel that way. Don’t over analyze, just analyze it to the point where you have a decent enough handle on it to be able to do something about it. When you have something you could do, write it down. So for example: I feel lonely. Why? Not enough friends, no gf. Solution, call up friends and hang out more, go out to paces and do things where I could meet more people. It doesn’t need to be more in depth than that. Now you don’t have to try and force yourself to do that, just keep the solution in mind and know that it’s there when you’re ready. It’s just a plan that you have in place to move forward. Then, this sounds weird, but according to the researchers it really works. Watch 15 minutes of videos of puppies playing. The transition from a self analytical state focusing on problems and solutions to a mental state of observation and taking in stimulus of innocent happiness trains your brain to shift out of the ruminating state and into one of endorphin production. It was most effective in depressed patients and sufferers of PTSD, 2 or 3 times a week. I think it actually helped me retrain my neurology and get me out of a self-pity depressed helpless mentality. I don’t know if you’re in that bad of a metal state or in a bad place all depressed, but even if it’s just a little funk you’re in, it might help. I wish you the best my friend.

From experience. Once you leave for a while, you either get sucked back in or barely touch the place. I left for 2-3 months. Came back around the time this stuff started arising. Got more depressing, left again. I lurk every few days or weeks. But its not the same As for your other struggles, keep strong.
