Okay so I’m confused about this armor grind. Is it really necessary? Or is this just so that we can have a leg up on armor 2.0 moving into shadowkeep? I’m thinking if this is really worth my time seeing I’m only able to jump into game a few hours a week. Or if I should just start shadowkeep when it comes out like all the other plebs and get stuff as I progress 🧐

Edited by Corrick II: 8/2/2019 3:32:50 PMIt is not necessary. If you like how the armor looks, it just gives you something to grind for during the dead time between now and Shadowkeep, and as an added bonus it will upgrade to the new armor system and give you a (very small) head start when the expansion comes out. Otherwise, you could save yourself the headache and just wait, I’m sure armor will be just as easy to pick up when Shadowkeep rolls around.

It's a combination of things. I believe the concept was to at least make the significant grind of the solstice armor worth it when the expansion comes. It would have really sucked if the armor was immediately obsolete. That being said, since its 2.0 compatible, and we can grind for rolls with the solstice boxes, it's likely that the solstice armor will give people a leg up come October. (Nit to mention free masterwork set)

1 ReplyThe only real reason to grind out the legendary set is if you want to look cool with the armor glows. Aside from that, there will be plenty of armor 2.0 sets in shadowkeep.
