My opinion, It's a good idea it will likely give the devs more time to work on Shadowkeep to truly want to or try to perfect it
Edit to my opinion: So far I've read that Borderlands 3 is likely being released close to Shadowkeeps old date and with the push it gives players time to play borderlands 3

I say good. Hopefully they are trying to figure out a way to bring all armor forward to 2.0.

2 RepliesSmart move, more folk are buying game bundles on word of mouth.

https://twitter.com/thislukesmith/status/1156972804064985089?s=19 Proof that he is going to do state of the game for Destiny 2 very soon
-
You know on top of that in the upcoming weeks Luke Smith did mentioned there will be something similar to division 2 with Ubisoft state of the game. Basically Luke Smith and a few developers tells us the state of Destiny 2. They will tell us their thought process for what they did between now and Shadowkeep. Likely they will tell us why there was a delay. Huge improvement from Destiny 2 2017 remember the lack of communication. I found this out from watching a bunch of YouTube videos. it's a good idea bungie decided to have streams or videos for state of Destiny 2.

It's good because they care now for better developed products. It's just proof that Activision was the one who was forcing Bungie to make content on deadlines. It's the main reason for the poor development of Destiny 2 to begin with. Just like what many Asian developers say about developing games, it's better to make a product and take your time versus rushing and losing players.

43 RepliesTerrible idea. Sales will be low due to the great games coming out. Gamers won’t stick around for all the bugs to be fixed Modern warfare will kill destinys pvp playerbase This is the end of the road for Bungie

1 ReplyEdited by GallowsPole: 8/3/2019 12:40:12 AMMy opinion is that it has zero to do with making the game better in only two weeks time. Luke Smith and Mark Noseworthy are full of shit. Wouldn’t surprise me if this is Stadia related.
-
Me personally I love it as I get to play Borderlands 3 uninterrupted for longer. Previously Borderlands came out a week before Shadowkeep so you’ll be playing both a lot less imo
-
1 ReplyIf they can take a few more weeks to “fix” it why can’t they update it more often besides the money on pushing out updates
-
No doubt some of the reasons cited her are true enough. But another part was probably to nerf long grindy things that already have divided half of what’s left of their very sad population.
-
Being done for bl3. Will allow some of bungies close friends from gcon to play bl3. Will give some distance between drops. Not being done for quality reasons. Im sure people at gcon asked them to do this. When they looked at it, decided it was worth it.
-
Good decision, more time to polish it and it will have way less competition on release
-
It sucks waiting longer, but I'd rather have an awesome and well build content release than a rushed one with issues.
-
1 ReplyGood move. Better to get it right and a little distance from the borderlands 3 launch won't hurt.

What are the odds SK launches with no issues?
-
2 RepliesI think its good, because we might get better game. Less bugs is always better. Havent preordered and Will not. I just buy the game on Release date or shortly after.
-
4 RepliesEdited by Systamatik: 8/2/2019 6:04:45 PMIt can only be a good thing. If anything they should delay it by a month. Two weeks does not seem like enough time.
-
2 RepliesIt can only be good
-
Only in bungie land does going last make sense. Giving the competition 2 weeks to prove they got it right isn't gonna help their case of worth the gamble. No way are presales going good , way to many people have been burnt and or left. Yes a ton of us loved our destiny and may be curious . After D2 being a complete let down of D1 no way do people jump blindly in again. It would take a complete turn around in what we are seeing no to win back the cash of all the lost players. They may get alot of newer players that actually don't understand how bad this version is and how much of it was a reskin and a resale of a game we already played and paid for.
-
Good, most of the games that are releasing this year are September launches. Too many games are already going to be drowning in the wave of high profile releases. It makes sense.
-
7 RepliesNever a good sign, means something is wrong and fifteen days is not enough time to fix whatever it is. It’s even scarier they claim some of it is due to other games releasing? Just shows they do not have confidence in their product. To those who did not pre-order, smart move... to those who did... told ya so.
-
Glad they're holding on to their game to make it playable, like I am holding onto my cash just cancelled my deluxe update but will still probably purchase shadowkeep.
-
If it gives the devs a little more breathing room to finish up then cool, but I wouldn’t expect flawless perfection, you’ll set yourself up for disappointment. Having the release date a bit offset from the competition doesn’t hurt either I suppose.
-
How the hell would it be a bad idea? If they need time to make the game better, more interesting, push it back 2 months for all I care. I would just like to be able to see the extra time put into the game in more activities, an awesome raid, etc.
-
1 ReplyI just wanna know if season 8 is gonna start in September or October. We've had some new content like pinnacle quests start in previous seasons before the major update came out.

Good move, I applaud it.
