I'm at work atm, so I can't watch this for a bit. I will say, if he's complaining that PvE is too easy, he is 100% correct. The raid and heroic menagerie are the only moderately difficult activities, and the raid is easy to steamroll. When was the last time you actually had to try in a strike? Or got killed by anything other than the architects on patrol? It's seriously way too easy. Worlds first on day 1 shouldn't even be a competition because if you're beating it day 1 it's become obsolete day 2. Being able to burn any boss in 1 phase shouldn't be a thing. They need to ratchet everything up a few notches.

2 RepliesIf Bungie act on a rant from Datto then they may as well be making the game for one person. If he was getting snowballed in IB while I had no issues rocking 3 grenade launchers and completing my mountaintop quest in it then quite frankly that's his issue. If truth looses rockets because he's the A-Hole who thinks 3 is too many (likely because, like all self centered streamers he thinks he shouldn't be killable by Joe public) then I will be pissed!

4 RepliesI disagree 100% with his assessment of power ammo. Tone it down and give it less? Oh f'king great... now I'll go from getting 1 brick in 10 games to NEVER getting it. People camp it, people push you off of it... it's a nightmare to even get any. I MUCH preferred the D1 way where the WHOLE TEAM could pick up heavy from the crate if they could get there. I wish it would go back to that model.

As for his video, no, there isnt any truth to what he said. Like he said at the beginning: he chose to grind banner for 10 hours, so by that point he was frustrated and just ranting to rant. So every lil thing that pissed him off in pvp, he's gonna complain about it and say it needs to be 'fixed'. Along with that, no the game isnt too easy. It is in a good place on the difficulty scale. Activties range from easy to 'make sure my shit is together before we attempt', which is all you can ask. No need for the game to be made easier nor harder, which both have been asked for. What's funny about that, when bungie does makes the game easier/harder, people turn around and complain. Prime example: the forges. People -blam!- and moaned cause they couldnt run through them the first day, so bungie made them easier. After about a month, people turned right around and said they were too easy cause they were running through them. And since you using datto as an example of truth, you know who is an example of what i just said? You guessed it lol.

And he is heavily responsible for the current state. Sbmm is the only thing that will fix the current mess, and no... IB is NOT sbmm right now, so stop claiming that. IB is far from sbmm. If someone at Bungie claimed that's their idea of sbmm, then that person should be replaced.

This is about to happen everyone. Datto practically has bungie wrapped around his finger. Remember the whisper nerf. Who called for that? Datto. Here is what I really think about his thoughts about these nerfs. Why nerf something for making the game too easy. Maybe, he wants to make endgame stuff like raids be only for the elitists in destiny. Riven would no longer be cheesable, and people would now have to do it legit. Riven takes a long time legit, and since people always cheese her, they would have no idea how to do it. What about Gahlran? No instant reload or increased damage would make it a 3 phase nearly every time. Not everyone is capable of 3 phasing this guy. With this massive increase in difficulty, raid groups and raiding in general will now be significantly less. What about heroic Managerie? It’s hard enough to fight these bosses with our current power level. Now we lose out on some of the best things about wells? Can you imagine how many less people will play this activity as well. Literally, only the most elite destiny players will be doing these. LFGing these activities will be near impossible, and a single death on your end will most likely result in them booting you. Raiding will NOT be friendly to newcomers, and they probably will never get the chance to try. We all know that Datto ALWAYS gets his way with bungie. His call to nerfs will be all but assured, and endgame will become much more troublesome. This is a warning to all players. You have a couple weeks before this major change happens. It’s NOW OR NEVER to get raid armor and weapons. The clock is ticking everyone... You better start LFGing...

1 ReplyEven if you nerf supers and shotguns and power ammo to the ground there will still be a best gun/tactic and people will piss and moan about it. Here’s an idea, you want challenge? Use a sub optimal loadout/subclass and play with that.

Remember when all these cry babies asked for this POWER FANTASY?? What does that mean again? Everyone wanted to feel powerful, now bungie made it that way now these people are complaining about the ease. Imagine the back lash bungie will receive from these same Hippocrates that they can't survive 2 thrall explosions on higher difficulty in their well or chaos reach does 20% less damage. They wanted dps to be a factor, now well basically maxes that. These same content creaters create videos on max dps then 2 weeks later it's to powerful. Like mentioned before don't run meta.. theres your challenge. Meta is easy mode and unfortunately I something will always be best. Either have to lower damage out put or give enemies more health which I can see now won't go over well either way. Bungie focused Leviathan around less dps and more mechanic and they received alot of negative back lash.

pve is not tooooo easy. The problem with PVE is that it scared too many players away, now al that are left are the grinders like myself who enjoy everypart of destiny, a crap ton of casual players, and youtubers. The casuals don't invest time in a raid to even get half decent at it. IT is difficult for them because they spend 5 hours or 10 a week playing and that is not near enough to master a raid. PVP is a -blam!-ing nightmare, connection issues, recovery issues and bungie has shown in 5 years they are really not willing to push the cheaters and latency players to the curb because money speaks far louder than the players complaining.

Whether you like Datto (or streamers in general) is immaterial. Let's debate the points he brought up. Trust me I understand the critique of what a bunch of streamers now playing Fortnite did to this game.

I don't agree with the PvE side of his argument. Nerfs are not the answer. As for Crucible and Gambit, that's another story. SOMETHING must be done to fix those game modes. Heavy needs to be toned down tremendously in Gambit and Crucible needs heavy to return to the d1 system where EVERYONE got heavy if they were near the box and it only happened ONCE PER MATCH.

P.S Anyone that thinks the warlocks Well is fine is just insane... There should never be 1 class or power that just simply makes all content balance/mechanics irrelevant.

28 RepliesThere's a big issue if a few players want to take away others enjoyment so they can feel satisfied. I like my Well, I like blasting stuff with Nova bomb, or really great exotics. I'm grinding enough at work. If the game is too easy then use all rares, use all whites, get a card that plugs in whatever handicap will satisfy all these guys until the difficulty is x10, use a dance pad or a kinect. Do whatever you have to do, just keep it on your side of the pond. Nothing is stopping anyone from making the game more difficult for themselves. But it's kind of selfish to have the whole game adjust to a few people's whims.
