Destiny loyal players eagerly started their grind with the arrival of the Tribute Hall. Some, like myself, already even had tributes. Around mid week we learned of an exploit to get all 50 tributes, the catalyst, and the emote for free, no materials, no loss in the glimmer department. Its not something I take lightly in regards to actual in game progress. I was a huge fan of the Juju D1 and knowing Ill have to wait until I can get those discounts and still have to spend everything I own to get the catalyst seems unfair and unequal. I'm now having to pay for creators mistakes....literally pay....in glimglam.

3 RepliesI still got it legit. Just play and stop complaining.

5 RepliesThis is silly. Lol I rushed to get it within the hour of refresh before the glitch was known and I’m not even upset that people are getting it, I’m just upset that I couldn’t do it. Lol Just let people be. Stop asking for handouts. Play the game and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing.

1 ReplyI don’t agree. I just got the catalyst yesterday afternoon without using the tribute cheese. I knew about it and didn’t really care for it. Just because some people cheesed it doesn’t mean bungie should give it out. I wonder when the community is gonna stop with this crap.
-
No way dude, catalysts shouldn't be handed out for free. This is like asking if everyone should've gotten a full set of Last Wish armor because some people glitched to get gear before the raid was released. Just play the game, you'll get it eventually.
-
Hurts no one. Plus those people still have to spend their resources if they want the triumphs. You may not care about them, but plenty of players do. All the cheese did for those folks is speed up getting the weapon.
-
1 ReplyI think it’s imperative for them to own up to this and give everyone else the cat. That said, they never have evened the field this way, so I expect them to ignore the pleas.
-
I got it yesterday all solo and not really grind that much, im a father and a worker and not really had to spend that much time getting the tributes. Well that and I'm a manger so I know how to utilise my time wisely.
-
Due to the excessive amount of time required to obtain tributes (Valor and Infamy points especially), it is morally in Bungie’s best interest to do something about this. I don’t know exactly what they should do, I don’t think people should just get the catalyst for free. But it’s not fair, in fact it’s very unfair and not a good business decision to let this slide the way it is right now. Bungie should do something to fix this. Perhaps they should increase the amount of valor and infamy earned. I know I’m hardly progressing and it’s very upsetting bc I know many others got this for free simply for starting their quest later and were able to watch the glitch video. I have the following equipped and all masterworked: Imperial Decree, Inaugural Address, Legend of Acrius, and a full COS armor set. I’m getting like 3-5 infamy/valor triumph progress per match. That to me is excessive, considering I even have Acrius equipped and nothing outside Leviathan/Menagerie equipped at all.

Now when has Bungie ever just given everybody something that required a grind simply because a few people cheesed it?
-
3 RepliesShould everyone be handed the MIDA Catalyst, because people can win trade up to 5500? Should everyone be given the Izanagi Catalyst because people could use the chest exploit to Perfect their Catalyst faster than intended?
-
What about No I would rather get mine the honest way?

*Laughs in prism stone*

They're not going to either way so I don't understand the point of whining for it.

I'm not condoning what others did. However, Spider was (or still is not sure at this point) selling 2 of the 4 materials. I simply ran vendor bounties on all 3 characters ( only took about 15 - 20 minuets for all 3) and threw on a ghost at each location, poof got it. then ran strikes for kills and unlocked it. Got most of my shards back turning in to Zavala and Gunsmith while breaking anything they gave down. TDLR : No we should not because it wasn't that hard to get or people could have some patience and wait until they have 80% discount. It's an Ok weapon at best.
-
I think they should take the gun away and reset the stats for the progress and make the users start over. And before someone says, "but what about the Menagerie glitch everyone did that." My point exactly, people who grind out the bad juju didnt have the option if you started the mission. The chest glitch was available to everyone all the time.

4 RepliesIf I say no I earned my catalyst fair and square, your response is "no you cheesed it" If I say yes bungie should give the catalyst away you would probably offer to suck me off. Grow up.
-
6 RepliesHell No! I just unlocked the 50th tribute - legit - and got the emote. And unlike the people who cheesed it, I have all the holographic tributes. Those who cheesed it still have to do the work for all that to have their shooting range filled up.
-
I'm doing it legit and i only have 10 tributes left. All I need to do is the raid parts and finish buying the tributes but I saving up for the bright dust one. It's not too hard honestly. If you're short on mats.
-
I'm fine with it I feel accomplished I actually invested into it plus I wanna get all the masterworks so grinding isn't a problem for me it really doesnt matter 2 weeks later most people will be able to afford it
-
6 RepliesI got the catalyst friday .. It wasnt hard to get .. If I knew about the glitch the day it dropped I would've done it too but I honestly can care less I had juju day 1 like others did without using the glitch .. Its a catalyst that extends string of curses by a second.. Who gives a shit .. Life isnt always fair neither are video games

6 RepliesI'm at 38 right now and am fine. It doesn't matter to me because it doesn't directly impact me
-
1 ReplyOh Holy Hell!! Just stop with this crap already !
-
3 RepliesIt's like 1000 kills to even unlock the Masterwork, it's such a grind! D:

2 RepliesWho cares the guns shit
