I understand your point about copying others' ideas for fame, But there's a ton of writers in Offtopic (me included) that write stories for the pure enjoyment of it. We enjoy writing stories about characters going through their own personal struggles to achieve something important to them, With some cases relating it to our own real-life issues. It lets people not only express their creativity, but show to others what kind of person they are. On a personal note, Writing is one of the activities i do to escape realism for once and actually deal with my ennui and my social awkwardness, and so far, it's helped. People enjoy the stories I put out, and so do I, So why should I stop and not only let others down, but let myself down? So yes, Im aware that originality is lacking in some areas, and I do agree with that, But there's no point in dictating to others on what content they should put out to the public. Let them enjoy what they put out to the forum. The type of content people post might change in a few months, But for now, please have an open mind on what other people are posting in Offtopic. Not everyone's a trend follower.
