Edit: I have come to the conclusion that i am just not skilled enough to properly use this bow so it probably won't be a main for me but that doesn't mean others lack the skill i lack.

It’s not you. The Bow is terrible. Hitting precision was like 1 out of 20 shots for me. No matter how close or how far away. I don’t even think about getting it out of the vault. I need to see if it can be acquired from collections because it’s taking up space. That’s what I think of it.

1 ReplyI can whole heartedly disagree. Freehand grip + bow/enh bow targeting will give it all the accuracy it needs. Opening shot is perfect. Problems I found: - Archers Gambit sometimes appears as a proc with no timer, then just goes and doesnt give ONE arrow of faster speed essentially -blam!- you on the fly. - I would like a small amount of health back on kill to allow you to get more back-to-back kill potential. Unless you have mask or devour on, its super hard to chain kills from 1v1's in PvP even though its more than capable of winning 1's.

I like it for PvP, but I hardly play PvP. If I’m using a bow in PvE it will have dragonfly.

1 ReplyFreehand grip makes it nice, and the accuracy masterwork makes sense because you just have to hit that first headshot. Also on bows, I think opening shot procs on every shot (I could be wrong but I think that's how it works) I don't have Hush yet, but I feel like it will be a fun, finesse-type weapon. Like TLW in bow form.

1 ReplyOn console its trash, on pc its actually really badass. Pc players don’t even need to aim with this thing so firing from the hip is easy, pair this with hunter and the exotic and you get max damage at all times while consistently allowing you to always land the first shot. You can also hipfire and then melee for kills

1 ReplyPretty much how i felt. Underwhelming for the grind, the only thing i gained from the whole ordeal was a greater appreciation for just how good the Trinity Ghoul is for ad clearing.

1 ReplyI only used it for about a half hour and not sure how I feel. Bows have a rhythm right? And I feel like the archers gambit throws the rhythm off. I go from long draw time to near instant which is nice until the perk wears off and I’m so used to the near instant draw time that I’m shooting my arrows way too early. With practice I’m sure it’ll be great but first impression ain’t too good

I just want someone, anyone, to 3D render an in game character model hip firing a bow and show me the video. Just think about the logistics of hip firing a bow. I know, "space magic" and all, but I think Bungie went a little overboard with this one.

7 RepliesI like it in PvP, but I hardly play PvP. I just want a solar bow with dragonfly. I have Subtle Calamity and Arsenic Bite, both with dragonfly and dragonfly spec mods and I love it. I wish I had a solar alternative.

Based on the description of the perks I'm guessing it's considerably better on PC than consoles where they can easily aim with ADSing, but on console I've heard it's pretty useless.
