Double Exotic Drops?
Is it normal to get an Exotic to drop even though you already have it? I was leveling up with Ana Bray today and she gave me a Jade Rabbit, but I already had it.
I would have preferred something I don't have yet, but it's not a big deal. Just wondering if anyone else had this happen before.

It is Normal. The reason is that Bungie wants you stay on the hamster wheel for longer so that he can steal your money through eververse and DLC’s instead of creating compelling content like they should.

It seems like you are more lonely to get an exotic you already have than a new one, been that way since D1

Normally about 1 every 1000-1500 planetary mats you get an exotic. Only yr 1 though, no yr 2 ones. (Comes from personal experience turning in 15000-20000 planetary mats at brother Vance)

2 RepliesYou must be new in town so let me be your guide. Yes....yes play for long enough and you’ll get tonnes of duplicate exotics. Perhaps not as bad as when it was back in the ‘Aeon Safe’ era but still....common enough. Don’t forget to save all your Edge Transits too.....

I got two identical exotics dropped in a row. In addition to previously owned ones. And if armours could be accepted as they have different perks, thus allowing flexibility, weapons have static rolls. I'm not complaining, but really, I don't need six Sixth Coyotes, four Syntocepts, three AC/DC_many_numbers, those "brotherhood" gloves nobody uses, three grav... those warlock boots for chaos reach, and metric shit ton of duplicate guns. You'd thought game could give me two latest exotics for my titan, alas, here, go drink some cortisol and have this Riskrunner/Jade Rabbit/Graviton Lance/Sunshot/etc.

2 RepliesEdited by BrothaMob: 6/21/2019 3:37:32 PMIt happens all the time. They even made year 1 exotics drop as a reward in the new raid lair Crown Of Sorrow. I’ve got at least 4 year 1 duplicate exotics as rewards instead of new rewards. D2 is a fun game but the loot distribution needs help.
