Menagerie and future 6 player activities. Keep it up
So far I’m really enjoying the Menagerie, the chalice etc. I definitely want to see this expand to other raids.

1 ReplyWhat I really like what they’ve done is they’ve basically reused loads of old raid mechanics ...and it’s great On my first play through trying to figure out what to do I really felt great when my brain clicked and realised “Wait ,this Arkborn activity is like phase 1 of Vosik” or “The Crystals encounter is like the Argos encounter “ and then went and completed the encounter This not only puts fun mechanics in a new environment but in a way it also educates players who wouldn’t normally raid on mechanics for a raid ,I can totally see someone explaining “Okay this next fight is just the Crystals menagerie encounter ,except we have to chose why type of element we use ,then DPS” which is great

17 RepliesAll the people commenting about how its a bad step backwards fore Menagerie heroic to not have matchmaking, but with potentially curated loadouts, the ability to actually fail encounters by having the extinguish modifier (all members returned to orbit if you all wipe) and a ton of other damaging modifiers that will make the activity much harder to play, including having enemies that START at 750 and go up to 770???? You want to waste your time matchmaking with a bunch of idiot randoms that have no idea what they're doing and have zero idea of what teamwork is and waste all of your time? I highly doubt it. If they put matchmaking into it you would all be complaining about how its too hard (despite it being heroic). Please think before you type up a salty message about how you cant match with down syndrome randoms in a heroic end-game activity.

3 RepliesSorry but no The [u]only[/u] reason randoms succeed in menagire is there simply is no way to fail. No darkness zones, no wipe = orbit, no timers ending the activity, nothing. You progress and repeat activities until you win. MM for heroic menagire with all the applied restrictions would fail, guided games failed and that had teams of people who know each other - imagine 6 randoms, raids would certainly fail and tbh it's not worth wasting dev time and resources implementing for something that will just lead to hundreds of posts complaining how hard the activities are and asking for nerfs

2 RepliesI’ve really enjoyed what little Menagerie that I’ve played. Went in blind though on the mods and was not real excited to see that they only work on the leviathan. I’ll probably just drop Menagerie and focus on earning the universal mods from raids. Those mods are super useful throughout the universe. Also got two “Powerful Gear” pieces of armor with no “Season of Opulence” mod slots available. What am I missing here?

Passed 740, the activity becomes really boring, with players afk until they’re getting the boss they need to complete the triumph for; or until the chest. Then suddenly you can see them like rats on dope running back and forth. The real upside is that it’s the only activity in this game players can use to farm gear and weapons. I’m however glad to see how many people now praise activision.

8 RepliesIt's okay for now an cause it's new an shiney people are enjoying it but it will get stale very quickly because the path to get to the boss is the same every time, would of been better if every week was a different set of challenges an have 4/5 weeks of new paths then it would repeat that way would of stayed fresher for longer. I will say I do like that they added matchmaking as this game needs a lot more of that (I'm looking at you nightfalls) but a bit disappointed there is no matchmaking for heroic.

I like this way Normal have matchmaking for just practice for everyone Heroics have no matchmaking and more challenges

6 RepliesI love regular menagerie. 6 player matchmade is a blast. But if they refuse to put matchmaking in for heroic im probably never doing it. They added the thing everyone wanted for EP....then removed it. Its just silly, ill stick to regular menag and enjoy myself
