But does anyone realize the absolutely massive crater its going to put in Destiny's PVE player base?
If Borderlands 3 is even close to as good as Borderlands 2, there will be tumble weeds.

2 RepliesGuys! This is serious! I was just checking the new mobile games and there is a new game out called Stardew Valley. And it's only $7.99. This is it fellas. It's over. The Destiny killer is here!
-
9 RepliesNot one competitor has managed to cause a "crater" in Destiny's playerbase ever and neither will Borderlands. You're overestimating their ability to steal people and underestimating that many people play multiple games at the same time.
-
2 RepliesHere we go again.... Division 2 will kill Destiny. Anthem will kill Destiny. The list goes on and on but guess what Destiny is still here and with the new dlc out today will bring back some of the player base. If you feel that other games will out play Destiny and take the player base away then move on. Most of the rest of us will carry on playing Destiny alongside games like Boarderlands or other game we like.

1 ReplyAt this point proclaiming a game to kill destiny ends up being a death sentence for said game
-
4 RepliesThere have been 4 games that were supposed to kill Destiny (Division, Divison 2, Anthem, and Monster Hunter World). Every time one of them get closed to coming out, these posts are circulated, despite the fact that none of them have replaced Destiny, at least for the general playerbase.

4 Repliesborderlands 2 was good?
-
Seriously haven’t you people learned already? No game is going to “kill” any other game. Nothing will kill Destiny and Destiny won’t kill anything else. This isn’t Highlander. It’s not like “there can be only one” looter shooters game. The player base for these types of games always goes up and down depending on content release. Most people move around from game to game and come back when new content is released. Very few people just play one game and nothing else. Just because Borderlands 3 might be successful doesn’t mean Bungie are going to just stop working on Destiny 3.

I imagine folks will trickle back after they burn through the B3 content for a couple months. I for one plan on getting B3 and am currently having a blast with The Handsome Collection. I had never played any Borderlands before and picked it up for $15 on sale in the PSN store. I will still play D2, just not as much/exclusively as I have up to this point. Which BTW is fine. You can enjoy and play more than 1 video game at a time folks.....

2 RepliesWell then enjoy shooting hamburgers... I pass on that silly game.
-
The only thing Destiny should fear is Destiny, itself.
-
Borderlands 2 wasn’t really that good. Only the first was good and only because it was really the first of its kind.
-
Doesn't help that Bungie gives themselves little support to hold back that boulder. It also gets heavier with every bad decision, and the good ones hardly match it.
-
6 RepliesBetween the new cod and bl3, destiny is gonna have a real hard time not bleeding players like a severed artery.
-
7 RepliesLol, nothing can touch destiny unfortunately, Bungie will be the 1 and only downfall of destiny.
-
1 ReplyBlah blah blah, heard it all before.
-
4 RepliesI laugh every single time I see one of these XXX is going to kill or hurt Destiny. I laugh even harder when the idiots that post these are shown to be wrong. Only a Bungie can kill A Destiny.
-
4 RepliesAnd in 2-3 weeks they’ll all be back.

After hearing this new raid is gonna just recycle leviathan, the shittiest raid location ever for the 4th time all I can say is bring on borderlands 3. I'm out anyway. That season pass was a complete ripoff.

Well, as much of a fanboy you are, you have to agree with OP, at least a little. Everyone with a little common sense and humor will prefer Borderlands PVE side, over Destinys PVE mess right now. Yes, Destiny has some great quests and raids. But BL has fun loot! Destiny lost that long ago... Personally, I wont touch Destiny for a long time when BL3 releases. And I cant wait :)
-
4 RepliesOooorrrrrrrrrrrrr, people can play both games
Why does no one ever think of this?
-
8 RepliesBorderlands 2 was fine fun but it’s gunplay was nowhere near the level of destiny . The feel makes a huge difference in a shooter . It will be interesting to see how well gearbox brings the gameplay and gunplay .
-
1 ReplyI'm going to say it again like I've said it a thousand times before. Bungie is the only thing that can kill Destiny. They've been trying, boy they're trying, but their fan base is loyal to a fault.
-
To bad it won’t cause EVER SINGLE TIME people said this game or that game is a “Destiny Killer”, they aren’t. The only thing that can kill Destiny is Destiny itself.
-
1 ReplyDon't worry, Bungie will bring back Gjallarhorn when B3 comes out. I REALLY would not be surprised.

6 RepliesThese posts are so annoying. You can clearly play more than 1 game, is this the only game you own and play everyday? 🙄
