If bungie fixes the recoil and the hit box with handcannnons in consoles they would not need to touch the Luna and not forgotten meta. Less then 1% of top players in pc use Nf. They use ace of spades because bloom DOES NOT EFFECT PC PLAYERS. But now console players are being absolutely nerffed to the ground while the real fix is BLOOM and STABILITY WITH HAND CANNONS on CONSLES. End of rant . Bungie this is your suicide if you do this . Don’t repeat year one destiny 2. This is redrix all over again but worse. Think of the effect this will have on all aspects of pvp in competitive settings . You told the community you would listen to feedback right when you posted the news and it seems to me like 85% or so are in favor of fixing bloom for consoles or just not touching it at all. Just because someone isn’t good enough to get the gun doesn’t mean the 5 months it took some people to get it to have all that time wasted in literally a blink of an eye. Don’t take shortcuts . FIX ALL HAND-CANNONS FOR CONSOLES

1 ReplyDream on, Hand cannons are Op as it is and you want to make them better? Luna's and NF are the problem with their 2 tap capability and easy mode zero recoil. Nerf them to the ground. Who cares if you worked for them, they shouldn't be OP just because it took a long time to get that wrecks the whole crucible. Nerf hand cannon range as well if you are trying to remove bloom.

8 RepliesOk... This isn’t an issue just you have brought up... And there’s an issue with this idea. Hand Cannons are currently the most used weapon class in Crucible, no matter the platform. This isn’t by only a little bit, either. Compared to all other weapons, even Special Weapons, Hand Cannons have SIGNIFICANTLY more usage, always hovering around 30%. The only thing holding back Hand Cannons from standing even hirer than where they currently are is, in fact, Bloom. Weapons like LH/NF as well as other 180 RPM Hand Cannons are used so often on both Xbox PlayStation due to their lack of bloom. If Bungie removes bloom from 150s and 140s in particular, then that would skyrocket the usage of Hand Cannons in Crucible significantly, possibly to 50% of overall weapon kills or even higher. This would push all other weapons, aside from Shotguns and POSSIBLY (emphasis on that) Pulse Rifles, to under 5%, or even 1%. As it currently stands in terms of other Primary weapon types, combining their usage percent together is only 2% to 5% higher than Hand Cannons, which isn’t a good thing whatsoever. Again, removing bloom from other Hand Cannons would boost their usage even higher. It’s highly unlikely that Bungie would ever allow this happen, to let a single class take up 50%+ of all weapon kills in Crucible. While nerfing LH/NF may be an unpopular decision to many, there are those who, even those who have obtained one or both of these weapons, who agree that this nerf is very necessary. Removing bloom versus the nerfs to LH/NF isn’t a good conversation. LH/NF being nerfed is an exceedingly better choice, as they are problematic on console and bloom is the only thing keeping Hand Cannons from pushing out all other weapons completely. Now, will LH/NF be as strong as they are now once the nerfs hit? No. But they will still be strong. They’ll sport a time to kill of .80, yet be able to kill in two headshots + one body shot, something only 110 Hand Cannons can reliably do. As for Service Revolver and Recluse? Their perks require “windup”, or need a kill to get going. Kill Clip and Master of Arms aren’t just perks that activate naturally as you shoot. Getting two headshots is something that comes naturally, and getting a damage boost from getting a kill? That’s something you need to achieve through more than two headshots. All in all, removing bloom from other Hand Cannons IS NOT the solution. Also, do NOT bring up Hawkmoon and the fact that it could two tap or get a legendary one tap! The one tap was very early in that gun’s life, and even for expert players, it’s happened very rarely for them. Additionally, you’d have to rely on getting one of the three random bonus damage shots in a THIRTEEN ROUND MAG!! Magnificent Howl is significantly stronger.

I can’t wait for Luna’s/NF to STILL dominate on console because they’ll continue to be the only precision HCs free from bloom/ghost bullets
-
It's going unnoticed because it's not the problem. They increased hand cannon accuracy to the point where bloom is basically nonexistent. When you miss shots that you think should have landed, it's because the visual recoil of the gun is messing you up. Just give yourself time to get used to it.

Bloom is a line in the sand that Bungie has drawn in an effort to make weapons behave more realistically and less "gamey"....and to keep the game accessible. Without bloom....the guy with the fastest nervous system wins the fight.... People would be able to just spam the trigger as fast as possible with no accuracy penalty. What bloom does is replicate the INACCURACY you see in real firearms when you try to fire them rapidly, and don't allow the weapon to recover from the recoil. So it forces you to fire the weapon in a particular rhythm in order to maximize accuracy, rather than just trigger spamming. So "RNG bullets" don't affect you unless you try to fire the weapon faster than intended. You aren't killed by "RNG bullets" unless someone fires the weapon faster than its intended to be fired and gets LUCKY enough to actually have a bullet still manage to reach the target. Its a mechanic that most other shooter games have under different names (Reticle spread. Cone of accuracy). The difference is that other games do a better job of telling you when you are losing accuracy because of it. Your reticle spreads out.....or you can actually see that your bullets aren't hitting the center of the reticle to give you feedback. The mechanic is legitimate. Bungie just needs to give the player better feedback on when its in effect.

3 RepliesBloom is intentional on console. If they remove bloom then they have to remove aim assist and target assist as well. 110 and 150 with aim assist target assist and no bloom is something i don't even wanna dream about.

4 RepliesSwitch to pc..... thank me later 😉

3 RepliesThey are accurate

Bloom is a replication of real life revolver shooting mechanics. Deal with it. If you want MOA accuracy you need a rifle. I really don't care what PC has or doesn't have. Those guys have it way too easy.

3 RepliesEdited by Eucadia: 4/28/2019 8:05:33 PMYou guys haven't learned since 2015 D1... Whenever there's a chance to buff multiple things instead of nerfing a few things, Bungie will always go for the second option. Stop asking for Buffs that are not realistic. Bloom might not even go away till D3 lmao.

1 ReplyEasier to just nerf two guns I guess. I get the impression Bungie are doing the bare minimum with this game, wouldn't be surprised if support ended for it once the June update hits.

Bump 👍🏻

3 RepliesAgreed. They put it in to stop people using Hand Cannons at longer than intended ranges. Surely it would have been best to give them extreme damage drop-off once said unintended ranges were reached? 🤷♂️
-
37 RepliesOr just learn to control recoil on console? I do it.

Bungie needs to see this video

Very informative thank you for explaining that.
