I believe we can all agree the Osiris Expansion had no end game activity and that was bit disappointing.
However, it not too late. This Halloween/ Spring activity in the Infinity Forest is amazing. How about we make it permanent?
The loot we would grind for would be Year 2 Mercury Weapons with new perks and randoms rolls.
Honestly, the Mercury Weapons were amazing and the the designs on them looked unique. It would be nice to have them back.
What do you guys think?

They won’t we asked for it too when Haunted Forest was active. If it makes sense Bungie does the opposite follow the trends.
-
Thissssssss
-
Also make it the count towards the Mercury flashpoint.

2 RepliesThey can't make it permanent or next year's haunted forest and revelry won't feel special. Am I the only one who noticed the Triumphs say revelry 2019 and haunted forest 2018? Yup they got that shit on lockdown, the next 18 months is already planned n it's just like the previous 18 months. It's mindnumbing boring imo, and people who accept this as great content are addicts, easily pleased, probably both
-
YES! I WOULD LOVE THAT!

Well it appears it is an entire build by itself Give it to devs build a world and you have 6 months to do so This way they can plug a new theme in every 3 months without affecting the entire build
-
Nope, don't need to. Bungie, probably.
-
Such a waste, they could put anything in there being as it's a time portal doohickey.
-
Would love a different roll on ikelos smg and HC.
-
Its fun so yes they should.
-
The problem with that is that Bungie then couldn't use it anymore as a cheap tool to hold up the illusion of a "Live service game" with continous content.
-
I agree that it should be a permanent game mode as it's pretty fun to run through during events. That said it may need to be rebalanced if it was going to be permanent.
-
I don't mind having all content in the game accessible at all times. I think that is a good idea. But the forest is not endgame. It is filler for everyone. That's why you can go in with randoms and destroy all 5 bosses on your first run. Not end game.
-
1 ReplyI wasn't a fan of the last forest activity, but I really like this one. Just reached 60 while being matched with other solos and smashed all five bosses. Not sure it was really worth all the time it took to get there, but I'm happy to have got that far. Could have gone a little further if I didn't choke and Titan smash off the edge a few times. Gonna go in a few more times until I get the 300 I need for the exotic, and then enjoy smashing more PvE stuff with grenades. I love PvP, but I've played it for a few weeks straight now, and wanna just mess around with some buffs for the next few weeks in PvE.

And, make running it count towards the flash point.
-
Didnt we ask for the haunted forest to stay as well?
Look how that turned out, Bungie sure listened lol
-
But we already have that.. mercury heroic missions use the forest.. in fact i'm actually getting the weapons from the prophecies with that right now.

I fully agree. Haunted/Verdant forest is fun as all heck and very accessible. Make it a permanent addition.
-
It was heavily asked for both during CoO, and during Festival of the Lost. I don't think it's going to be a permanent element. It works well for events. It keeps it from getting old.

Any thing that enlarges the game play is worthwhile. Certainly agree with your Mercury comments. I made post just after the Mercury expansion that the infinite forest should be an endgame opportunity the twist that I think would be helpful is as you make progress the forest remains open to that point ie way points. Also it gets higher and higher until you reach the edge of the atmosphere/simulation and you have a big boss fight on a parked ship which is rotated each reset with one off rewards associated with each Boss ie a bit like EP kit.

1 ReplyI said the exact same thing a year ago. I got called every name in the book, laughed at, yelled at, and just verbally trashed. .... funny how things tend to come full circle

REVISIT DESTINY 1 MISSIONS
-
Yes with better rewards

1 ReplyAdd D1 raids as forest simulations. I don’t care if it’s an extra dlc, I’d buy it.
