Thank you all for the feedback and information. I’ve managed to interview about 10 people on the topic and am thinking about posting a new post that may better encompass the info!

I have seen it happen. Most times it does not affect negatively nobody. But the other way around. A team of 4 friends and a team of 3 start the matchmaking countdown at the same time so they are most likely to match against each other. Once both teams are matched the team of 4 leave when the queue says 8/8 guardians. That will send the team of 3 plus a blueberry alone to a match and give them a free win while the team of 4 stay in orbit without loosing the streak.

2 RepliesEdited by michael: 3/30/2019 5:52:17 AMThere are people called win traders who somehow are able to back out of a queue once it hits 8/8 without losing the game, but the team who randomly matches the win traders ends up getting a free win. it’s more common on pc because people go on asia servers and seek out win traders since those servers are less populated and it is more likely to match them. my friends and i have tried going on asian servers and it definitely works, every couple games you get a free win. probably different from what you are experiencing though since you can’t change servers on console

1 Replyif you were to ban people for doing what you posted you would have to ban every single person who titan skated. the same concept applies your using an in game mechanic in a way not intended. the only difference is manipulating matchmaking doesn't impact the player base because both parties are in agreement on whats going on. the problem with titan skating is it allowed people to gain a unfair advantage as far as positioning as well as movement speed which would tip the balance of the match depending on the skill of the player.

7 RepliesDdos and they have addressed that they will be banning. All you can do is report there isnt really a easy way to stop ddos or booting. The fact the equipment is isn't outlawed to regular outside of the job is sickening. For 400 bucks you can get the stuff to boot people and cheat which is ridiculous and neither sony or Microsoft cracks down on this.

I been noticing a lot more people exploiting to legend. a couple mins ago I saw two people in my tower with 50 streak wins in comp and saw one found NF. looked him up and he has a .9 in every comp playlist with his matches blocked. he even put a counterbalance mod on it lmao it’s sad how easy it easy to get NF now.

1 ReplyAt least those boosters arent ruining games. Bungie needs to remove lobby info during matchmaking outside of pve. Then players cant leave at 8/8 (results in 4v3 etc games) and boosters CAN NEVER find each other.

2 RepliesNo, if people that are in a 4 stack match another 4 stack, one of the teams would back out because they are trying to get solos and not other 4 stacks, but it still loads the other team into the game. Not network manipulation. no boosting. Just teams not wanting to play other teams.
