Let me save you some money, don’t bother. I will admit, the thrill was there, all about an hours worth. After a good 6-7 hours, I’ve already deleted it. I did however reinstall once I realized I was stuck with it lol (silly me for disregarding the no refund policy lol). Whatever you do, don’t believe the hype. But DO believe all that you hear about load times/screens and other issues still remaining even after day one patch. If you must, wait for a sale, trust me, it won’t be long.
A Destiny killer? No, not in the least. I’m sure some can convince themselves otherwise but not me. I had to learn the hard way. All I’m saying is, as of right now, save your money. There’s far more stuff to tick you off and bore you than Destiny.
This is an addition to the library type game, it gets dull real fast and as much as I hate to say it, I’m logged into D2 right now.
Buyer beware and have a great weekend!

5 RepliesBasically the only thing I see people say when they defend it is, the core gameplay is fun and I'm enjoying it. That's fine if you like it, but don't get mad at people who don't. Anti-reviewer mobs are getting crazy. A review is mostly just someone's opinion with some facts thrown in. Just because someone doesn't like the game doesn't mean you also have to dislike it.

1 ReplyTotally agree... it’s utter trash And if you think D2s servers are bad... kicked 10+ times in 3-4 hours I’ll be getting my $66 back tomorrow
-
This post is Objectively wrong. The user said he was finished after 6 hours, there is no way that he gave up after only getting to play for twenty seconds after the loading screens

Edited by CannyJack: 2/23/2019 9:57:55 PMThe problems mentioned in all the reviews are problems in the game's deep design: enemy behavior, location monotony, a disjoint play experience, and way too many loading transitions. Personally, I'd add mediocre and disconnected-feeling combat to it as well, but most people seem to like that part. These problems were apparent in the demo. I had a nearly bug-free experience with the demo; it was the actual design that turned me off. Anthem was a game that would have been a revelation in 2015, but in 2019 is way behind the curve.

6 RepliesWhat is all the issues people are having cause I’m not seeing anything buggy other than being kicked 3 times in like 8 hours or so? Iv had worse with lots of other games. Not saying it doesn’t happen just curious cause i think its a really good game and don’t understand the problem. Is it pc related or are they happening on consoles as well?

What happened to all the good games

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 2/23/2019 11:26:32 PMI’ve only been able to put in two hours so far. And that’s after having played both demo weekends. I’ll get in a lot of time later tonight and pretty much all day tomorrow. I can say that it already feels and looks better than the demo. I like what I’ve played so far and don’t currently foresee getting tired of it so quickly. I won’t make the mistake of expecting it to be the only thing I really play like I originally did with Destiny. I’m REALLY enjoying and looking forward to the continuing freedom of the experience. It’s going to be nice to not have my experience so heavily dictated like with Destiny. When I run out of things to do, I’ll just play something else and then come back to it at reset. There’s like a year of free additional content/support/events that come with it so I don’t think it’ll feel like a waste of money.

2 RepliesEdited by Eden: 2/23/2019 1:10:06 PMI've not been playing it for long, but I have really been enjoying it. I'm typically not a big 3rd person shooter guy but I've really been enjoying the combat in this game. I picked the Storm for my first Javelin and I love it's abilities and it's feel. Funnily enough I feel more like a space wizard playing Storm in Anthem than I ever did playing Warlock in Destiny. I love how agile you are with the double jumping and dodging and flying as well. The amount of menus and tutorials are pretty overwhelming, but that seems par for the course in this genre and I'm sure it'll become a non-issue with time. The only real gripe I've had so far is that I wish you had the option to load into missions solo. Typically I like to play a game's campaign on my own and then move into matchmade/group activities afterwards. The only bug I've encountered so far is one where I was kicked back to the title screen when I tried to initiate a cutscene. Apart from that it's been fine. I wasn't particularly hyped for this game or anything either, but right now I'd probably give it a 7/10.

Its funny seeing all the people who overhyped Anthem eating their words (if you enjoy it, then this doesnt apply to you).
-
Wait...Destiny is alive?
-
I like it. I've been playing since the 15th and hit lvl 18 last night. I've had no issues; got fast load times, but I also play on PC and have the game installed on an M.2 drive. Haven't seen a load screen outside of loading into a mission. It's not gonna be for everyone, no game is. If people are curious, they can always Redbox it for $3.
-
8 RepliesGame is fun. The load times in Destiny are a lot longer, by the way. It's only a new game. Look at how 'amazing' D1 and D2 were at launch once the hype died down.
-
2 RepliesI’ll probably get it in a year or two, once all the patches and DLC are out.

1 ReplyEdited by AngryTormentor: 2/23/2019 9:33:07 AMSame. Against my better judgement I 'played' it. Quotations because it crashed twice in two hours and I had to go through the same dialogue and cut-scenes twice. Then I went into free play and it decided to rubberband me around like a f--king slingshot. And this was on PS4 before anyone follows with - 'you've not using your computer properly.' When I did play I got bored of the combat within a couple of hours. The flying is only cool the first few times you do it. One thing I will give it is the loading times are way better on PS4 Pro. We're talking a couple of minutes instead of the 4 - 5 mins people were getting on PC. I'm just amazed people want to die on that hill for a game as average as this.

2 RepliesEdited by BornANew2020: 2/23/2019 11:20:25 AMI quite enjoy anthem already got 8 hours into the game and feel I have got my money's worth so far. Sure there are a few bugs that need to have the fly swatter taken to them. But overall I would give it a 7/10. 8 if some of the minor bugs I have noticed are ironed out. Edit: OMG nobody corrected my grammar mistake. Don't worry I fixed it. Also to note I had a few crashes as well but their rejoin function saved me a couple times with getting my loot. As well it seems a lot of people don't realize you have to revive downed teammates and also work together to get combos off to take down enemies faster. Not particularly a problem with the game just people who do not understand the mechanics. Getting disconnected from servers is immensely less frequent then I get with destiny franchise games.

I think we kinda saw this coming tbh. Maybe give it a few years and there’ll be plenty to do but otherwise it’s Metro Exodus I’ll be buying
-
Eyup. Called it miles in advance. I just had this gut feeling it was going to be bad, flop, or both after that one article where the creative lead (i think) died during development.

Man, -blam!- this game. I was really hoping BioWare could do something, but this game is worse than the garbage heap of Andromeda. Literally unplayable for me. Crashed like 5 times in the "store" section while I redeemed my pre-order stuff and browsed items to spend my "free" coin on. Then I finally started the first mission and I find a cortex entry and it freezes on my screen, and I'm unable to do anything. I waited for my team to move on so I could teleport near them, but the mother -blam!-ing cortex bullshit was still there, forcing me to exit the game. Jesus, what an unpolished turd. I honestly hope at this point EA closes BioWare. Two trash pile games in a row.

Edited by WILLtheKILLA5: 2/22/2019 11:21:47 PMAfter seeing everything, this not a good game. Not even a fun one.

We thank you for the sacrifice

I defended this game up until today. And boy was I wrong. Yet another massive dissapointment. It's actual garbage
-
I am SO glad I sold my stocks in ea after anthem made it big.
-
Straight to the discount bin. ..at least in Germany.
-
I bought it and I see myself having plenty to do, but that's also because I play video games at a normal rate unlike most "gamers" who absolutely no life the shit out of every game then proceed to complain about a lack of content simply because they play 10 hours a day.
