Lemme break this down for you in simple to understand chunks, yeah? Firstly...hate to brake it to you but Luna's isn't locked behind needing a team teams. It is locked behind skill and effort in competitive PvP. What's wrong with needing skill to acquire it? That seems far more rewarding than just grinding out boring content to get the gun. If you aren't good enough to go toe-to-toe with high skill players then you shouldn't be able to get the gun. If you aren't willing to take a little bit of time to improve yourself so you can go toe-to-toe against those kinds of players then you shouldn't be able to get the gun. That's what the community asked for. Pinnacle PvP weapons reserved for the most dedicated of PvP players. That's what they got. Nothing wrong with that. It is the exact same concept as raid rewards. If you're not good enough, you need to either be willing to learn and improve as a player, or get locked out of those rewards. Just like life, you can't expect everything to just be given out for zero effort just because you want it. Speaking of PvE quickly. There is far more PvE content than simply the campaign and bounties. You must be forgetting strikes, raids (single-handendly the best part of the entire game), blind well and ep, the dreaming city, even gambit (which if you play with your family as your post leads me to believe is incredibly easy to steam roll in with a team of 4 and good - yet not difficult strategies). To complain about there being nothing to do in the game except PvP when all you seem to do is campaign and bounties is either ignorant, lazy or both. Third. Do I agree that shotguns are a problem in PvP. Yes. Do I agree the pre 6v6 update maps are a problem. Undoubtedly. However you then go on to mention nearly every other weapon archetype in the game as a problem too. The Last Word is an excellent counter to shotguns and is incredibly easy to obtain by following a simple quest which, yes it does involve PvP, but is not that hard if you stick at it. You only need a 0.5 efficiency rating per match to progress that step of the quest. Grenade launchers area risk and reward weapon. As are FR's. Luna's, NF and LW all require primary ammo so have no correlation to your point of special ammo being a problem (which it isn't really tbf). All I'm trying to really say here is that every PvP game has meta's, not just Destiny. Those meta's will shift and change with updates. However all things considered Destiny's meta is (with the exception of OEM and Shotguns) fairly open and shotguns have numerous easy counters. Removing Trails was by no means an issue. It was a dead, broken mode that nobody played when it was around. All the sweats were always in Comp. Bungie have said they need time to get the mode right and they really do because it was a disgrace before. But my point is that nobody was playing trails before. Thus your theory that all the trials sweats have moved to comp which has, in turn, displaced the comp sweats to QP is a load of rubbish. There will always be players more skilled than you in all the playlists if you refuse to learn and improve yourself so you just need to accept that. [TL;DR] Yes there are problems with the PvP meta and maps but it s not nearly as bad as you have made it out to be. Trials had to be removed. No one was playing it so nothing has actually changed about the people playing comp and QP. You're just too lazy to improve. There is far more PvE content than campaign and bounties, that's just ignorant. Luna's is not locked behind needing a team. It is locked behind skill and dedication to the activity in the same way raid gear and weapons are. Plenty of people have gotten Luna's solo. Or just you know...use an LFG or clans to find a team that suits you. Also stop being so hard on streamers. They do have lives. Their lives are to entertain. They dedicate far more time to creating content that their thousands of viewers will enjoy than to just sitting around playing video games all day. The content creator community in Destiny has done some incredible things with their status including raising millions of dollars for charity. I'd like to see you do the same. Do they get special treatment from the studio. No. They are the face of the larger community but and are the kind of dedicated, hardcore audience that the game is trying to cater to. They acquire the gear you can't because they dedicate themselves to getting it. They get it quicker because they have more time to do so but you will also get these things, albeit slower if you also put the same amount of effort into learning and improving as they do.

  • Di you pay more for the game than the casual player? If the PVP isn't going to be fair to all then there should be a competitive package that the streamers and sweaties pay for. I will never be able to get L. H. My armor and weapons don't match up against the competition. I was very competitive in Halo but not in D2. Why is that? How is that a fair way to approach the game. Have you played recently? Its hard to find anyone to play with to do higher tier raids. Hell I couldn't even do the Blind well or public events there were no people on the maps after the weekly reset. Most people are tired of the boring content and would love to engage in PVP but it so slanted towards Hunters its ridiculous. Why wasn't Luna a hand cannon quest? Only weapons on the map? Do you know what happened, the streamers and sweaties ground out the weapon first and then went and blocked the others trying to get it with every powerful weapon they could find. Have you tried getting head shots while being pummeled by superior weapons and players? Its F#$ miserable. There are always two or three perspectives to every argument. I am a collector whether I use weapons or not I enjoy having them in my vault. I paid for the content should be able to access it.

  • You clearly aren't looking in the right places to find people. My clan for example is constantly helping new people with the raids. Look harder.

  • Also no PvP is not slanted to hunters in anyway it's clearly more slanted to titans with OEM. You clearly don't seem to play much if you don't even know that. Getting precision kills is not hard you just need to practice. My whole point was that it will take you longer to get good enough if you don't play as much and people need to stop expecting everything to be handed to them and just need to deal with that.

  • You say you paid so you should be able to access it yet, is it it physically impossible for you to access. NO IT'S NOT. If you really want it that god damn much either find a nice 4 stack to group up with or pay someone else. And tbh with you I have every pinnacle weapon and I hate using all of them except the mountaintop they're so bland and boring to kill people with, so just think when you get a kill you get enjoyment when they get a kill not much happens really.

  • Got the first sentence down and puked! You fuking meatheads and all your so called skill! What a bunch of mental deficients, it must be soo sad to have so little self confidence that you have to use this completely unbalanced lag fest to boost your self esteem! How pathetic! Half or more of you “skilled” superstars spend most matches lagging in and out and shooting through walls. And skill has nothing to do with those weapons, either. Competitive was designed by those incompetent bastards at bungie to “test team skill”, and it does too! Which member can pull the best DOS, which members shotgun shoots furthest, which has the most OP trophy weapon. I got bad news for you “men of skill”, this shitfest of a game is going to be dead if bungie, who cant even get a decent DLC done without their publisher giving them two more developers to help, doesn’t find some one else, someone BIG, to back them real soon.

  • Was revisiting this post actually. Never read the last sentence but I'd like to highlight this part. "who cant even get a decent DLC done without their publisher giving them two more developers to help" I seem to remember the Taken King being touted as a fantastic update for D1. That they worked on themselves. Guess this angry little man is too engulfed in talking down in people who have provided their point of views in a constructive manner to actually conduct any research and check what he is saying before throwing it out there. Silly boy.

Thats opinion only, just like all the rhetoric you will find in any forum, and here is mine. The taken king was pretty good BUT, it was also the forewarning of things to come. Weapons nerfed across the board, abilities beginning to be weakened and raid weapons that were not only not special but were, in fact, quite inferior to standard legendary weapons of the same type from only a few months prior to that DLC. So, your insults actually mean nothing to me and as far as research i have over 5000 hours into destiny games so i feel all caught up on my research. Forsaken was better in that at least some of the weapons were getting back to their former glory. I know fanboys don’t want to acknowledge this, but the absence of Activision, or some other powerhouse publisher, means almost certain death for destiny. Now, I’m going back to what i was doing.

  • Also when people have to point out that insults don't have any effect on them that means that it usually has had an effect on them.

  • Has 5000 hours but talks down on fanboys (I don't think I know anyone with 5000 hours who I wouldn't consider a fanboy/girl). Something doesn't quite add up. Also I don't know if you're too caught up on Destiny if you think that King's Fall was the first raid to have lacklustre weapons attached to it. Also 5000 hours seems like a made up stat to me bro (psssst I looked up your playtime).

  • It was the first raid to have useless weapons, CE weapons at least provided alternate energy primaries. As far as my time in destiny, smart guy, i am a fan of destiny, i am not a fan of bungie. I guess that simple (and obvious) concept eluded you.

  • Poor or mediocre VoG weapons: Atheons Epilogue Hezen Vengeance Praetorian Foil Praydeth's Timepiece (Before Year 2) Corrective Measure (Debatable, I liked it but better MG's existed) Poor or mediocre CE weapons: Abyss Defiant Light of the Abyss Song of Ir Yut Word of Corta (again debatable, not terrible but Fatebringer and Devil you Know were far better) See. The raids had poor weapons too. If you rocked up to any lfg raid packing a Song of Ir Yut you'd be laughed at and kicked back when CE was the raid giving level increases. Also you didn't deny lying about your playtime to make it seem as though your argument is more valid sooooooo...

  • Nah my self confidence is in pretty good shape actually. I never claimed to being a good PvP player. I have a 1.09 K/D, get regularly dumped on in comp and haven't gotten any of the pinnacle PvP weapons (broadsword, lunas, or mountaintop), yet you don't hear me complaining because I'm not stupid and understand the place they have in the game. Who's got issues with they're self confidence now?

  • Thank god someone gets it. I literally have none of them. I have a 1.09 K/D in PvP. By no means a good player but I understand the purpose these weapons have in the same way as raid gear being locked behind the hardest PvE activity. Thank god you do too.

  • I wouldn't describe my K/D as bad but it would take me a long time to get a pinnacle weapon with my up and down performances in crucible and in my small clan there are plenty of people with much better K/Ds than myself.

  • I applaud you for your in-depth explanation of why her point was invalid but I must say that I find it a little hilarious that you went out of your way to breakdown her entire gripe of the game. It is without question meaningful to me and I thank you for that but understand that if she’s not teaming up with family members, she has little to no chance of getting those or any high sought after weapons in d2.
