It's not enough they get to farm players 1000 ELO below them every game, now something is wrong and "SBMM must be back on" because OMG they have to play players with Luna's and Not Forgotten.

It's weird how all the Comp folk got their pinnacle weapons and ☮️'d TFO for Quickplay, but they can't figure out why other QP players have pinnacle weapons. It's definitely not rocket science.
This is what happens when you give too much power and influence to the "elite" class. They always want more and they want it at your expense. Ah well, keep railing against SBMM and other measures meant to make play fair and accessible to everyone.
Edit: Also they are questioning why there are so many Comp weapons in QP at the start of season 5 and claiming nefarious behaviour on Bungie's behalf... Even though Bungie allowed them to farm their Grenade Launcher multikills in QuickPlay for the new pinnacle weapon.

2 RepliesSkill based match making makes sense in a ranked mode where you only face teams very close to your skill level. Think overwatch. Quick play doesnt need Sbmm because it does the following: It normalizes stats, that person who is truly terrible will only play other terrible players so his stats will drift toward 1 kd and 50% win rate. This player wont improve playing these trash player's. On the other end the truly great players ( the ones that live in crucible) will have longer matchmaking times, and will have their stats normalized as they are facing opponents of equal skill. So now you have two different players with similar stats.... Its nonsense. Basically Sbmm punishes great players with longer matchmaking times. These are the players who play the game for crucible. Further it punishes them by making it boring. I cant tell you how often I saw the same players in qp when Sbmm was a thing. Sbmm also is punishing new players as well since they are building terrible habits facing potatoes. Solution: flesh out competitive to something like overwatches system. This will grant incentive for the sweats to actually go into comp. It will also mean scrubs arent getting instant wiped in comp. Finally it means quick play can actually be QUICK play.

1 ReplyThat is how streamers, youtubers, and "elite" players see it. Everything is fine and dandy when THEY are on top but when they come across some one else of equal skill who beats them something is wrong and needs to be done. Not just Destiny but WoW, ESO, Runescape, sure FF14 has this problem too, CoD, ect ect ect. Very short version everything is fine when the "elite" and streamers are having fun at the expense of others but something is wrong when they lose.

Get stomped at clash ‘clash shouldn’t be in comp playlist, should be objective based modes’ Next game get stomped at countdown ‘hate this mode, don’t know why it’s in this playlist’ Was hilarious and tragic. .

Nothing wrong with having a team, but If they stop letting teams play solos, that would thin the herd a bit.. Also this game is really starting to screw up putting 1 hit primaries and the 3 tap thing with the huge hit boxes and rediculous aim assist? This is going to wear down ur players and they'll start leaving if they keep getting mowed down by teams.

3 RepliesI'm slightly above average but definitely not one of the best and I think SBMM is garbage. What you are asking for means people like me would be tasked with playing these freaks more often just so people at the bottom can play crucible like its PvE. Everyone should receive a variety of match types. Its the attempt to cater to the extremes that continues to screw over those of us in the middle. Asking for a game where you compete to treat you like you are good and basically hand you wins when you are not good is just as ridiculous as some of these sociopathic posts from the NF crowd in this thread.

205 RepliesI’ve said it before and I will say it again. They should sell Luna in Eververse and keep the quest for Luna/NF active so players who want to earn it are welcome to do so. People already buy the gun from account recovery services. Selling it directly means the money goes towards the game and not to parasites. It shuts down the market and cleans up comp. It gives players a secure way to buy it if they were going to anyway.

1 ReplyWe agree for once :) Luna usage hit 11% jus before the season ended. From 6.2%. Bygones hit 9.6% from 6.6%. Avg daily count dropped 200k from 1mill to 800k. It all adds up to 200k players sick of being formed by laggy Luna players, just stopped playing. Forcing Luna n Bygones usage to almost double. After this dlc people bought, n can't play for months, I see a mass exodus.

There's definitely some type of sbmm in qp atm. Not as insane as Iron Banner but still there. I've noticed the change since the last IB ended. I used to be able to run whatever and only pull out the Luna try hard set up if I ran into another luna/Nf sweat player but now i always just run my best load out. Sniper/luna/wardcliff. I only play a few matches a day so I don't mind having to try hard just to barely get a win. Still lose most of my matches though lol.

3 RepliesThe weapons need to be removed for the good of the game. Period. Making it a requirement to have these weapons just to have a semblance of "fun" in the crucible is not okay. I don't want to run Luna's every game in quickplay. I don't mind going up against better players, but every game where its just the same thing in Quickplay is just messed up. I don't mind getting my butt kicked, but I shouldn't be forced into one loadout in a loot focused game just to find enjoyment.

Probably because player counts are falling for those of us without weapons that can compete. I'm in no rush to go back to crucible until the inevitable Luna/NF nerfs. So the sweats drive the casuals out and now even without SBMM, they are left only to face themselves. Funny that Cozmo takes the time to service his individual twitter account, but can't deem to grace us with his presence here.

2 RepliesI'm just mad because I go into Quickplay to chill and stuff, and y'know, try of course, but not get steamrolled every match by Lunas or Shotties. Of course shotguns are the meta, so I expect some, but when the other team is clearly leagues better, I question why Quickplay is even Quickplay. Just call it Competitve 0.5

Lol, I saw that tweet, I just lmao. Streamers and top 10% complaining about a change to QP that never happened. Shows that their real intent is to beat up on bad players to make themselves feel better or show others watching on their streams how good they really arent. Bungie needs to take notice, go back to SBMM, it will be better for the community as a whole or just dump PVP and focus on PvE content only. Tired of top 10% and streamers complaining about weapons and armor and Bungie nerfing them i.e. Sleeper, Ursa and the Queensbreaker next.

Many of us predicted this. The lower skilled/medium skilled would tire of the stomping, and quit playing. That leaves the top players going against themselves. But it can't be their fault, it has to be that Bungie turned SBMM back on. No, Bungie did not turn SBMM back on, it is your fault. Now you can just deal with it. Or cry on a forum......

48 RepliesCall me crazy... But what do you think would happen to the NBA if you gave the top 10% a basketball that went in more often than the other basketballs do for the other 90%? You introduce a football into the NFL that allows the best quarterbacks and receivers to connect more often. Then, you allow these teams to now go play against high school teams. With only the pro’s using the specialized equipment. As crazy as the above sounds, this is what you have done to crucible, if you substitute the following... NBA/NFL=competitive playlist High school=Quick play Special equipment=LH/NF In business there is a rule. When in a meeting... Never bring up a problem, unless you are prepared to offer a solution. My solution is as follows... QP, no fireteams allowed. All randoms... Competitive, fireteams allowed and you only match teams, that in cumulative skill, are close to your teams skill. If you want to have weapons that are better than most, everyone should have a fair chance at getting them. Alternatively, if you want to make the best weapons available to only the best players. Then make a playlist where you can obtain said gun, but that is the only place you can use it.

Like I said.. it's hard for them to stream how amazing they are when they lose matches. No one wants to watch some man or women-child rage out over losing. So they cried and cried.. Now the rest of the population is getting those weapons or just left Crucible. I know I did for the most part. Now they are back to crying again. Ppl who cry about competition and then claim to be top tier, just aren't top tier.
