Please buff the broadsword
I mean seriously it’s basically a pve gun right now that use you have to play pvp to get. It cannot compete with most pulse rifles right now and I think that’s rather dumb especially on the grind to get this pinnacle weapon. Do y’all ever think about those things when you make them??!

Edited by killa beaver: 11/28/2018 7:24:52 AMIf it was a 390 rpm pulse it would break the crucible, it would be stronger then Luna’s or not forgotten, the best solution is to increase its base stability and handling by 15-20%. So that way it’s hands down the best and most consistent 340 pulse in the game, another solution is have it do 36 per crit so you can hit 5 headshots 1 body shot

Thats because bungie was so afraid that the weapons intrinsic perk would make the weapon op that they destroyed its handling and target acquisition. A weisnewski maneuver if ever there was one.

If the base rpm was 390 and impact drop off to account for the increase I think it would be much better or an option to switch?

100% Agreed! It needs a buff, add a higher base rpm, add a radar active at all times, and this weapon would be worth it...

2 RepliesWas the most disappointing grind ever, Bygones with kill clip from Drifter is a better choice especially with the extra mag mod. Broadsword is for elites who only hit head shots and play in groups, its a bad gun if you aren't a top 1% in Crucible and for PvE there is better options.

1 ReplyEdited by Lord_Shar: 11/27/2018 7:40:08 PMBungie has a few options for buffing the Broadsword: 1) Remove all muzzle rise when firing, thereby increasing weapon accuracy 2) Change weapon base arch-type and / or fire rate (4-burst aggressive would be awesome) 3) Remove Desperado's activation dependence on Outlaw so that it can activates with one kill OR 2 precision hits, etc... Bungie has done similar updates to Graviton Lance in the past, so they might act if there is sufficient community support on the matter.

I think despacito needs to last a bit longer. Even when i proc it im wounded or there is nobody around. In practice it just doesnt work.

4 burst pulses are too good. It's not that broadsword isn't good enough. 4 burst can 2 tap with 6 to the head and 2 to the body. And it shoots faster. Pulses in general are too good right now. Might not make sense but after a blanket pulse nerf I think the broadsword will be good.

3 RepliesI think it’s fine you just need to make a play style around it. It’s insane when desperado is up but average when not. I pair it with Fighting Lion and clean up the kill with Redrix. It’s a really fun in quickplay and is now my main loadout. I hope this helps

8 RepliesI'm grinding towards it, but I'm already aware it isn't is a "great" spot right now. Kind of a shame, really. But I'll be glad when I'm done and have the gun, tbh. I'm literally on the last couple of steps though (75 matches, complete 20 bounties (which are saved up already lol), and so on). Infact, I just reset my Valor rank for the 5th time about 20 minutes ago, so I'll have it by weeks end. Hopefully.
