Breakthrough removed from Competitive Playlist.

Starting today, Breakthrough has been removed from the Competitive Crucible playlist. This mode may still be accessed through the Weekly Crucible playlist when featured. If you have feedback concerning the mode, please leave it here. Cozmo and I will be collecting feedback, and passing along to the team.

      How about instead of trying to add new games to the playlist you fix the matchmaking system you idiots. Solo players should que in with only solo players. Teams of two with teams of two. 3 with 3. And stacked with stacked. What the hell is so hard about that. There’s always enough people on. And honestly what solo player wouldn’t want to just 1v1 another player for an entire game. So dumb. Trying to act all fancy and make all these game modes. We only need one. Load up and kill people. Just make it fair. Soooo dumb.

        I don't think theres a way to fix that game mode. It just doesn't feel fun at all. Rewards camping in corners and generally playing very passively.

      • You nerfed AoS quest to make it easy , I’m not asking for the giant turd burger to spawn in Gambit easier but I’ve reset my rank once and I’ve played Gambit for many hrs used all 3 characters . I’ve played since beta D1 so I know of rng seriously this has been the only time I’ve been that pissed off that a quest is locked behind such a freakn stupid wall that can or cannot be seen. Stop locking quests behind rng , give everyone the same chance on the quests.

          Breakthrough Feedback: The point System is completly upside down, winning the battle for the breaker just determents your role (offence/defence)? My suggestion: Captureing the breaker = 1point Braking the vault = 2points 5points = win No points for defence.

        • Breakthrough was a good effort. Props to everyone at Bungie who worked on it to bring it to life. Nobody makes gametypes with ill intent. It just didn't go as planned... especially in competitive where stakes are much more real. Playing breakthrough against a stacked team with randoms in yours just isn't fun at all. Competitive in general isn't much fun unless you're winning I guess and that doesn't happen as often when you go in all alone. I love Destiny. Always have, you guys have had set back here and there and hey, this won't be the last of it. But you have me... there's just something about this game that calls to me. It's the first game I've ever played on console. I've come a really long way and in so many different ways so has Bungie.

This should be about controlling Vaults and Breakers, not bricks. 6v6 Breakthrough could either be really interesting, fun, or completely awful. Just a thought.

              • I HATE breakthrough. Absolutely despise it. I hate the fundamentals. I don't get how capturing the midpoint, and your team is unable to deploy the breaker means your team lost. It's gotten to the point where teams do not capture the midpoint because they'd be able to lose if there enemy team is somewhat competent. If a team captures the midpoint, it is when atleast 2 or 3 people are dead and then the enemy captures. Why? Because of the 10 second respawn timer that gives them enough time to arrive to your spawn to begin Spawn trapping. The game mode is incredibly flawed in so many ways. I don't think people would care if this game mode just dissk

                • How about removing heavy ammo in comp? It's a joke how much it spawns and an unfair advantage when you start out 3v4. Which happens quite a lot with no replacement brought in, and the loss penalty on top of that just infuriating! [spoiler]wrote with rage sorry [/spoiler]

                  • There should be no respawns after the middle point is captured. Go to the trials revive system when cap’ing the last point

                    • Why in the world is there sometimes a 10 second respawn time? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The team can actually capture the vault before I respawn.

                      • Take heavy out of crucible completely or make a game mode that has heavy and leave it out of the rest. For teams to play the objectives and not the heavy. Or go back to spawn once per match
