How To Make Raid and Trials Weapons More "Pinnacle" | Enhanced Trait Perks

Right now, the Raid weapons don't feel ultimately unique. You can get a similar or better performing gun outside the Raid. Other than Bungie introducing more weapon perks, I would like to suggest a chance of Enhanced Trait perks on weapons since they seem to be leaning towards that direction. Trials isn't in the game at the moment, but hopefully the guns there don't suffer the same fate. - • Regular text for normal trait perks • Bold text for Enhanced trait perks - • Dragonfly • Firefly • Rampage (1x 21%, 2x 43%, 3x 65%) • Rampage (1x 26%, 2x 48%, 3x 70%) • Kill Clip (53%) • Kill Clip (60%) • Explosive Payload • Explosive Payload (Wider area of effect) - You get the idea. This would make Raid and Trials weapons more unique and sought after if Raid-specific perks or more perks in general are not present. This would also give more reason to do the Raid or Trials every week. Thoughts?

  • If we know bungie they will do the exact opposite. Same with most weapons you have to grind for. The Redrix is kind of a let down for all the work that goes into getting it even for slightly skilled players like myself. The big point Bunghole wanted was for players to experience a whole to weapon perks together Outlaw & Desperado. Other than that it’s just another crappy slow fire pulse rifle that just looks pretty & takes a lot if work to get guess that’s just Bungholes MO.

I like this idea, more incentive to do endgame activities. They could also make it so that "endgame" weapons get an automatic +5 to the masterwork stat, on top of the regular +10.

      • I like this idea, except for firefly being the enhanced version of dragonfly. Enhanced dragonfly should just be more damage/AoE and firefly should stay exclusive to the Ace of Spades.

        • Sounds like a great idea, but these enhanced perks should only be active in that particular game mode.

            • That would be good, but perks that increase damage or trigger health regen make pvp players rage and demand nerfs. They used to make pvp weapons useful against type of enemy in a given raid or have passive buffs while in the raid. No idea why they seem to have stopped doing that.
