Old name:
Masterwork cores are for masterworking armour and weapons not infusion and should be removed from general infusion its not needed!!!
New name:
Enhancement cores are for enhancing armour and weapons not infusion and should be removed from general infusion its not needed!!!
Yeah changing the name has made it less confusing and made it clear what they are for!!
Silly names aside by adding more sources to get these its made the whole system pointless Bungie said they wanted people to think about how they infuse and make it a costly decision however when you hit 600 like I did a few weeks back you will find that cores are not needed as much and steadly start to build up adding more sources means I can go ahead and just enhance everything without a second thought if they removed cores from general infusion but kept the drop rate the same and did not add more sources then I would need to actually pick and choose more carefully what I use them on.

3 RepliesThey should have just named them space dildos. We still wouldn't be quite sure what they are but we'd know they were fkng us.
-
2 RepliesBungee simply added Cores to the grind meta, for lack of a better time wasting activity... It is more recycled content!
-
1 ReplyOh damn, I must have missed the posts about how mwc were too confusing to use. Changing them to enhancement cores cleared everything up. Let me masterwork my weapon with enhancement cores instead of masterwork cores
-
I just want to masterwork my favorite gear and weapons I hardly infuse, it’s not hard to make right decisions on what to upgrade just mainly wanna use them for master working. Wish they would make separate cores for each so Half the community will be satisfied
-
2 RepliesCores are easy to get, it's buying mats from spider that takes too long. Then turning in the mats and deleting them on top of that. I once sat there for 3 hrs buying mats, and i still had 2100 leg shards left.

13 RepliesEdited by Pls Don’t Hurt Me: 10/26/2018 6:09:08 PMI still love how the community was like “Hey Bungie, we think you kinda -blam!-ed up requiring MW cores for simple infusion. Can you remove them from infusion?” And Bungie said “Oh our bad, they obviously aren’t named correctly. We’ll be sure to change the name, thanks for the feedback!” And we said “???? What... that’s literally not what we asked for. We never asked for that, it was extremely clear what we, your community, wanted you to do.” Bungie said
Nothing. They are ignoring us, again.
4 RepliesEnough already. They want there to be investment in the guns you like. They are making the core easier to get. You'll have plenty to do whatever you like soon.
-
3 RepliesThey should remove masterwork cores from the game entirely and go back to an earn up your gun by killing stuff system except make it only 100 kills to masterwork
-
I believe Bungie have always been having trouble understanding and tuning proper player feedbacks so it's not really a surprise to me actually lol
-
It's very stupid they wanted people to think about how they infuse. Very stupid.
-
1 ReplyInfusion is a an enhancement
-
3 RepliesIncreasing the power of something is enhancing it. It allows it to do more damage against higher level opponents. They've said for months that they want to broaden the uses of masterwork cores. Get used to it or stop playing.
-
Idea for next seasonal content event. "Cores Galore" every enemy has a chance to drop an enhancement core. See below for Bungie details.
All cores will drop at a 0.0000000000001% based on .5 of your power level divided by years you have been a bungie.net member. Note: Activision reserves the right to reduce core drop rate with no explanation and charge your PSN account for processing fees
4 RepliesJust play the game and stop complaining or leave and be a noob somewhere else
-
Crying babies stop complaining

+1, like seriously, out of all the things the community asks for, that's what we get? Something that I imagine nobody wanted? Now I just don't infuse anything, I just wait until something stronger comes along, Infusion is just a waste of materials imo now.
-
1 ReplyThey enhance there power level. Next?
-
People asked for a grind. They wanted the game to be all about grinding. Bungie took you way too seriously.
-
If you are infusing them aren’t you “enhancing” the light level of the weapon/armor?
-
4 RepliesI’m curious to why they weren’t named “Infusion Core”.
-
2 RepliesExcept infusing is enhancing
-
1 ReplyThis is to funny

9 RepliesIf we take away the cores from the infusion. We will need to farm the other materials. And spider will have to stop selling them. So you are okay for farming let's say phasglass for 1 hour to be able to infuse one weapon. But not the cores? Huh.
-
2 Replies1. Your entire last paragraph needs a punctuation buff. 2. Just because there are more sources of cores doesn't mean you HAVE to enhance everything. You still have the option to make meaningful decisions. If you don't think enhancing a weapon or armor piece is meaningful, don't do it. You don't need Bungie to tell you what is meaningful or not. Choose for yourself. Just because a material is there doesn't mean you have to use it.
-
-blam!-ing deal with it . I and many others do not give a damn what Bungie was told to do by the elitist scum they are changing it
-
shhhh it’s meant to be secretly called
male enhancement cores
