This fuc-king game is almost as bad as crucible was when Prometheus lense came out. Nobody uses anything besides sleeper simulant and just constantly invade each other. Not saying to Nerf sleeper all around but maybe in gambit so it actually becomes Gambit and not just comparing dic-ks with the sleeper

9 RepliesHere’s the issue with all 8,473,948 of these “weapon complaint” posts. A “meta” begins (Graviton Lance in pvp, Sleeper in Gambit for example) and a lot of people start using it. Why? Because it’s not the player’s fault the gun is powerful. So, here come the players that want to be rebels and say “Since everyone is using weapon “x” I’m going to show the world I’m cool and use a different weapon.” After ten or twenty matches getting murdered you come to the forums to cry for a nerf. Anyone who owns the game is entitled to be play however they want. Granted, by that logic, you are entitled to come to the forums to exercise your freedom of speech...but I’ll be winning more matches. 😇

A mild fix for this would be limit # of invasions per round.
-
7 RepliesThere are a LOT of problems with Gambit - the damage-table tilt if you win Round 1, the various built-in catch-up mechanics (the glowing 5-mote ads, the winning team's ads delaying their spawn, giving the losing team free portal uses), and pretty much everything about the Invasion mechanic. The PvP aspect has almost entirely made the PvE aspect moot...it's like Archon's Forge if one player could randomly kill the other players and troll them during the boss phase. It's already a Speed Strike/pseudo-horde-mode game type, which was almost fun, but trying to stay alive during the Primeval phase with Envoys, ads, Blockers, and a Primeval to deal with AND trying to keep an eye out for, track down, and eliminate a persistent Invader with Truesight, and overshield, the ability to completely reset the Primeval's health, and nothing to lose just isn't enjoyable.
-
4 RepliesGet rid of invasions. We already have a competitive pvp. Just make it competitive pve. A 1 round to 100-125 motes and kill the primeval winner take all match. Or, if invader dies or doesnt get a kill, they can’t invade again that round. And ban sleeper from gambit.
-
10 RepliesRemove invasion. Problem solved.
-
They may as well change the name of the game mode to invasion. It happens WAY too frequently. Especially during the Primeval battle. A gambit is a calculated risk for potential high reward. There’s nothing particularly calculated about invading 4 times during the boss battle.

Edited by Insizer: 10/28/2018 3:54:41 PMI actually enjoyed cruible when the prometheus lens came out. Hell it was the only time I actually enjoyed crucible. It was stupid silly killing, nothing more nothing less. Everyone had it, everyone knew how to use it. There was nothing to complain about because everyone knew it was silly. Gambit is gamble of matchmaking and hardly fun at all. Oh look, one of your teammates left within 5 mins because your team of newbie randoms couldn't deal with a 4 stack filled with people who have rerolled their rank 5 times. I don't care about the meta weapons, hell I'll use them or not. I'll lose with dignity if the match seemed remotely good. I just hate being steamrolled due to horrible matchmaking.

Learn the spawns and rush the invader. That's what we do.
-
57 RepliesNot really. If it's not Sleeper, it's going to be Queensbreaker. If not Queensbreaker, Tarantula. If not Tarantula, DARCI. People are going to find and use something else to OHK you with, so why worry about it? Everyone has one or can get one and every team has someone using one. I don't use it and I have zero issues facing teams using it. I play how I want because it's fun for me and if someone finds Sleeper fun, why should that be a problem?
-
1 ReplyI'm in no way shape or form the best pvper but, your tears are delicious. I'm there to win. I will continue to use Sleeper and Dawnblade with seeking projectiles. Two-Tailed Fox and whatever other tactics possible to make that happen. I put in the time and effort to unlock weapons/items/classes to do just that.
-
3 RepliesOr maybe you should learn to use cover and some basic pvp skills. Cause if Sleeper gets broken, there are a half dozen other OHK weapons that I can clean your clock with. In fact, you’d have to break half the heavy weapon armory before you were done. This is not the Crucible, and stop crying about the fact that it’s not. An Invader is on a 30 second timer, and is outnumbered 4-to-1. He is going to come after you with the fastest killing method at his disposal. Your job is to stop crying about that condition of competition and learn how to manage it.

4 RepliesI'd wish bungie would give everybody who still complains about this gun and thus is failing to adapt to it for a long time a marker above their head so I know at who to aim first.
-
Maybe make invading a meaningful choice by limiting invasion to once per player per round.
-
Don't use sleeper on other guardians - I snipe them when I invade. Only time I'll use it is if they've got their primeval and I need quick kills.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 10/26/2018 1:14:05 PMSleeper doesn't bother me one bit. What bothers me is the cheap mechanics in Gambit like... An enemy being able to shoot you out of its stomach and instantly kill you in the middle of an animating after you melee it. You stager it back and kill it but it still kills you after it died. An enemy health is less than a quarter, it's about to die and you melee them 4 times but no damage is done, but it hits you twice and you die. You are dodging and weaving between rocks or whatever running away and your health is low, but an enemy becomes the worlds sharpest shooter from across the map and kills you. You pop a shield in hopes to prevent taking damage but certain enemies can shoot right through the shield and instantly kill you. You pop a shield and the over splash makes it pointless to have a shield knowing it goes right through it every time. Do you know when these things happen? it's when you have motes on you. I think it's cheap for this company to add cheap mechanics like that. It's a fun game mode if you don't play it as often as the OP does. I just feel certain things can be slightly adjusted, and only slightly knowing this company that likes to go overboard with things.

11 RepliesEven with the nerf for Gambit, Sleeper is a cross mapping one hit body shot weapon. I'm no good at PvP and I can take out Guardians with it. The only defense is to either a) use Sleeper back or b) hide in the spawn room. Either way Gambit is less fun that intended. This is the inherent problem of letting players use all of the sandbox for PvE and PvP.

1 ReplyDAMMIT BUNGIE BUFF SWORDS!!! I PEOPEL WANT TO NERF SLEEPER BUT THAT WILL ONLY RESULT IN OTHER WEAPONS TAKING ITS PLACE!! THE SOLUTION ISN'T TO NERF BUT TO PROVIDE A COUNTER

1 ReplyNope I am running colony to take down all the people hiding

1 ReplyI’d like to see a Gambit mode without the invading personally. Just a race against the other team. Personally I would prefer that.
-
1 ReplyGot 5 kills in one invade with colony Just sayin
-
Increase sleeper charge rate 100% Increase sleeper damage 100% Still viable in PvE, not viable in PvP All problems solved, if any of Bungie‘s employees knew how to use their brains they could’ve figured this one out

1 ReplyLol. All the butthurt toxic tough online ppl, I’m right all the time players in here. Jesus the destiny community is aids. Get skill kids! Play a mans game...battlefield.

They should remove sleeper when they did remove rat king when god of Mars came out.

Edited by TotalDramaGamer: 10/26/2018 8:22:20 PMAlone as a God absolutely destroys Sleeper users. That crispy snap in zoom and high handling makes them so easy to punish.

2 RepliesA fix for this would be to buff other heavies to make them on par with the sleeper.. The sleeper is good at killing people, invaders, and doing damage to the boss in a quick manner. Other heavies need to be made reliable as well. Rockets are a little lack luster when it comes to dealing damage. The whisper is a bit too slow and there is just too much stuff in the way or going on to just stand there and try and get those headshots. Swords are a no go since you get stomped into the next deminssion by the boss or just one shot. I do find tracking rockets are good for dealing with invaders though. Especially if you have one with snapshot.
