Why are people defending telesto?
The gun clearly needs to be moved back to the heavy slot and whoever say no then I will assume they are defending their crutch!

1 ReplyI defend it because I said many many times in the past that Shotguns were overpowered and people made it very clear that OP special ammo is what they want out of destiny 2 PvP. Now I use Telesto every game and do very well with it. If you want Telesto nerfed but you don't also want shotguns nerfed, then you are a bad person.

5 RepliesNo it doesn’t need to be heavy!!!! There are those of us that DON’T play pvp, and NO it isn’t a crutch. I am sick of having good weapons nerfed or ruined to ACCOMMODATE pvp players!!! This is why this game needs to have pvp and pve separate. I don’t care how they do it but they need to do it. This CRAP has gone on since Destiny one, perks being removed, abilities nerfed and weapons ruined and still Bungie hasn’t learned!!! Pvp SHOULD NOT dictate the weapons, perks and abilities in this game!!!!

2 RepliesTelesto doesn't bother me. I do have to say it's got some range to it. I've gotten killed beyond close to mid range. I even have a clip of it somewhere on my hard drive as proof. But no nerf is needed. Whether it stays as a special or gets moved back to heavy won't bother me one bit. I just don't see how it'll break the game. But that's my opinion though.

47 Replies1. Because you Crucibabies call everything that frustrates you an “overpowered crutch.” 2. Telesto isn’t overpowered it’s just annoying to play against in pvp. 3. If you move it to the heavy slot you might as well remove it from the game because you BREAK IT for use in pve. Because now it has to compete with exotic HEAVY weapons like Whisper of The Worm, Sleeper Simulant, Two Tailed Fox, and host of legendary rocket launchers and linear fusion rifles that can easily out-DPS it. The weapon would never get used because it’s mildly underpowered even as a special weapon. Overused is not overpowered. Annoying and frustrating isn’t overpowered either. Only overpowered is overpowered.

Dont use it, but I suspect people use it for the same reason you use what works best for you. But when we complain about your crutch you defend it. So it's all the same in the end. Now sleeper in gambit. That's a crutch.

It's not so much defending anything, really. It's ridiculing you crybabies that incessantly moan about weapons. Some of us know that it doesn't stop with Telesto. I hear that there are a lot of games that do pvp much better, try those. If pvp crybabies could not effect pve you would probably hear less objection, since Bungie refuses to separate pve and pvp, this will be a thing.

If you used it in D1 then you should understand. Was a great gun that was in the right spot with the right perks. D2 has put in a different place stat wise but close to original that long time users still enjoy. Blame bungie not players.

I mean I run inagural and chaperone way better than telesto, who needs telesto when your shotgun out ranges the average fusion rifle?

Because we're dealing with a Shotgun Meta right now and nerfing it will only result in even more shotguns being used. I don't use it either.
