Why is she act so high and mighty? Did she has special power?
I read in Destiny Wiki, the only thing made her powerful is only Harbinger and its a weapon not her ability

Edited by Clone148: 10/23/2018 8:39:27 PMShe's always been like that, even as a kid she wanted to steal power too grand for her. The only reason people liked her is because she took off her helmet while in the vacuum of space to get high asphyxiating herself and people thought she had some mysterious power
All she's got is an inclination to lie and sub par manipulative abilities and that's about it, nothing really flashy
6 Repliesshe’s a stuck up bitch who deserves to be blasted by chaos reach
-
Imagine someone taking position as Queen of Humanity, that’s what she is to the Awoken
-
She acts high and mighty because she is the leader of the Awoken.
-
She isn’t that powerful or interesting. They want us to think that she is this mysterious Omnipotent ruler like Q from Star Trek but she just kinda sucks. Every time I see her I’m just like “isn’t this the third time I’ve had to save your people from disaster lol? She is terribly written and for that matter so are the rest of the awoken.

1 ReplyLmao... so many replies. So Mara is very popular eh... Do all of you guys has Blue Skin Fetish? :D

The Darkness and the Light lore books (especially Marasenna) will give you the full story of Mara’s rise to where she is today, but the short version is that she was an ordinary person who was good at exploring and finding things to the point where people formed a cult around her. Eventually these people were transformed into the awoken, and Mara was and is their queen. One day Eris Morn warned the queen of Oryx (this was long before his actual appearance in the system), and the queen went to work manipulating us and many others to slay the taken king and leave his power there for her to take. In short, she was nothing when we first met, but now she is a force to be reckoned with.

32 RepliesEdited by PhNx Hellfire: 10/19/2018 9:01:24 AMShe has a few accomplishments across her back basically. A lot of her lore accomplishments are over exaggerated. She basically has done a lot for the Awoken, destroyed/challenged leadership of Kells (this was done with the helpful manipulation of Harbringers. Go look up those for a more complete definition that they essentially answer to those with enough intelligence to work with them) and manipulated the Awoken to keep them in power. Overall, she's a bigger threat than an ally. We will deal with her at the appropriate time down the road. She'll probably be manipulated similar to Riven, but easier honestly. Her capabilities though as a combatant will be interesting to say the least.

2 Replieslmao people like her and calus talk down to us like we couldnt metaphorically and literally clap their cheeks into another dimension with a thought

27 RepliesBefore she was awoken, she was a human aboard one of the exodus project ships. Whenever a problem occurred it would just fix itself just by her being there. Mara Sov created a world by throwing herself into a black hole just before the collapse. She was there when the awoken were born. She started a civil war amongst the awoken in secret to force them back from this “created” world to sol. Upon getting back they set up in the reef. From there she ruled the matriarchal society we know as the reefborn awoken. She then killed the Kell of the house of wolves before they could attack the city during twilight gap. Beating Skolas the Rabid, and gifting him to the nine, she took over as the true kell of the Wolves. The wolf guard became her protectors and Variks the loyal of house Judgement joined to warden the prison of elders. At one point she managed to trap Riven. An Ahamkara. She held her in the dreaming city. This was done so she would have the last Ahamkara when the great hunt was over. She then sacrificed herself and her people during the battle over Saturn. In her death she went to her throne world. Traversing the world, she encountered Toland the shattered one, and saw the collapse of Oryx’s throne world to then arrive in the dreaming city, making her way to the shattered throne. Her true throne world. You ask about her power and might: She has a weapon that shattered Ceres. She took over an eliksni house. She has a throne world. She captured an Ahamkara. She created the awoken. She is extremely powerful, and even through all the loss, “all is going according to plan”
i understand this creates so many more questions than it does answers. Regardless hope this helped.
1 ReplyIt’s either rampant narcissism, or she honestly knows something we, as guardians, don’t know or understand... possibly a combination of both. I’m kind of liking how the character of Mara has evolved, felt like she was a wasted opportunity in D1, but now with the layers being peeled back on her character, she’s becoming interesting.

She also is a queen. Being a dictator sorta makes you think you're awesome.

3 RepliesShe's probably Savathûn.

First bit may fill a little in for you.
-
You do not know the power that is the queen.
-
She leads an entire army of a species she created out of her own mind. She created the Awoken, the dreaming city, and her powers. She also has an unspecified connection with the darkness. During D1 she let herself die so she could become more powerful. After we killed Oryx she took his throne world and became a literal god. She became omnipotent. So yeah, I think she has the right to be so mighty. She could actually destroy the Traveller if she wanted to. She just doesn't care enough.

4 RepliesThe question should have been:
Is she single?
She is basically the god of her own world. Also, she’s smart as hell
