Where did i say i had an issue with it. Again asking a question such as why a person thinks or believes something, is not the same as complaining about it or having a problem with it. "Lol"

  • Lol sad, sad little troll AGAIN, you didn’t ask anything. Amazing how you have to change the definition of words....

  • What definition did i change? Oh i guess i wont get an answer to that simple question either, will i? Calls me names like daft and troll and yet goes on about respect. I think you may want to look at that definition of hypocrisy i gave you. It seems you may have forgotten what it means.

  • Lol complaining about someone complaining IS hypocrisy. Condemning people for complaining while complaining IS hypocrisy. The definitions of “question” and “hypocrisy” seem to elude you, but the definition of hypocrisy does seem to baffle hypocrites.

  • Funny only one of us actually bothered to find a proper definition, and only one of us came even close to the proper definition before it was presented. Or had you already forgotten that? And seeing as in what i said the question word "why" came before the subject "people". The definition for a question is also not to complex.

  • You conform to the definition. I never said I was giving the definition of “hypocrisy”, I pointed out that your actions fit the definition. The fact you posted the definition doesn’t mean you conform to it any less, it just means you don’t understand the definition, either. Your statement was a statement which is why it ended in a period. Or have you forgotten that questions end with question marks?

  • You do not need a question mark because the sentence is what is called an "indirect question." Indirect questions do not close with a question mark but with a period. Like direct questions they demand a response, but they are expressed as declarations without the formal characteristics of a question. I figured i better find someone else's statement on this, since you dont seem willing to believe me. If you still dont believe it, then feel free to look it up yourself. It seems that there is one more thing that you forgot about english that you needed to remember.

  • It is not an indirect question, it IS a statement. In no way, shape, form or fashion is it an indirect question that demands a response. It is a dismissive statements that suggests their viewpoint is so fringe as to be unfathomable. It neither demands nor illicits a response. Go back and learn what an indirect question is...

  • In indirect questions, we don’t use the auxiliary verbs do/does/did. Also, you can see that the verb is “open” in the direct question, and “opens” in the indirect question. Direct: Why did you move to Europe? Indirect: I was wondering why you moved to Europe. Again, there is no auxiliary verb did in the indirect question. In fact, this indirect question isn’t even a question – it’s more of a statement that invites the other person to give more information. Direct: How has he managed to get in shape so quickly? Indirect: Do you have any idea how he’s managed to get in shape so quickly? There you go, some more english lessons for you. Any other topic in english you are confused about?

  • The second example is clearly a question, so let’s focus on why the first example doesn’t apply to your statement. You are not wondering why they think that way, you are not speculating. There is no query. You are stating that there view is so alien as to be inconceivable. Your statement was just that, a statement.

Oh thank you oh great one for reaching into my mind and telling me what i meant when i was typing. Oh wait, thats right, only i know what i meant. Funny how that works. I have given the countless amounts of proof to show very clearly that was i wrote can very much be considered a proper question. And that is indeed how I meant for it to be. Now that you have run out of actual grammatical reasons as to why what i wrote couldnt possibly be a question, you have resorted to magically claiming to know what i truly meant when i wrote it. The evidence is there for you, clear as day, whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you. Learning something really cant be forced upon a person if they do not choose to take in the information. Good luck, and i hope that just maybe you learnt something.

  • So, you are saying you were trying to initiate a convo on why people complain in forums? No. Your entire statement was to attack the fact they do. As far as knowing what goes on in your mind, don’t flatter yourself, bud. I wouldn’t try to imagine the events taking place in something I can’t even prove exists.

  • I love how, when everything is said and done, and you have been proven incorrect at every turn when it comes to grammar rules, you turn to interpretation as your last resort. This has just come down to you grasping at straws. I know what I meant and i presented it correctly. It is up to you whether or not you accept that fact. What I wrote was a question, and it was written wth every intention of being read as one. Like it or not, those are the facts.

  • You weren’t asking a question EITHER time in that post. Each time your statement was to try to diminish their view. The second time in that post, you told them how they should see the world the way you do. There is no question in that...

  • Funny I didn’t say anything about anyone having to have the same view as me. I did make the general statement of let people play how they want and you play how you want. But at the same time I didn’t go off saying people had to do that, and like everything else it is open for discussion, although to my knowledge the vast majority agree with such statements. And again the one and only thing you are left to fall back on is, “what you wrote isn’t a question because i don’t think that was its true meaning” sound logic there buddy.

  • Sure you did. When you told them ‘Let them play how they want to, and you play how you want to.’ Every word in your comment was dismissive of their views and suggested they should think the way you do. It’s passive aggressive behavior that shows you feel your opinion is superior to theirs.

  • Again, if that is how you choose to view it, i cant really stop you, and it appears you have no intention of changing your mind. Again the facts are there, clear as day in front of you, whether or not you choose to accept them is up to you. All the actual rules have been followed, all that remains is your opinion.
