I don’t know why they’ve chosen to make exotics so difficult to obtain...
I guess when Black Armory launch I’ll have my first Forsaken exotic drop... maybe a duplicate.
And xur is more useless than faction vendors...

I have 3 Forsaken exotics after no lifeing the game for a month. Supposedly they are reducing the dupe rate 2 months after the dlc dropped. Is this the new standard for Bungie DLC's? No new weapons until months after a DLC is bought and paid for? Seems like they are creating new problems after they fixed the old ones.

Today I’ve got my first exotic in a Gambit match... Jade Rabbit.

I do. All of year 1 they received constant complaints that there was no grind, nothing to chase, everything was too easy to obtain too quickly, no reason to keep playing because after a month you had everything. In light of that, it’s totally understandable that they would want to decrease drop rates. That’s literally what was being asked for most and loudest. Of course, they overcorrected, like they always do. But it’s not like this came out of nowhere. They’ll gradually move things back in the other direction until they find the sweet spot. Just in time for Destiny 3 to come hit the reset button on the whole process, I’m sure.

They didn’t decrease drop rates at all. I’m getting plenty of exotics. Most of the time they give year 1 dupes.

I know that they were pretty easy in Y1, but we should have a more concrete way to get. They’ve added a bunch of exotics that most players won’t even get by the time the next dlc arrives.

This time i don't think it will be quite as much a global reset. Nothing is changing hardware wise

Edited by Patient3591: 10/6/2018 6:23:44 AMI wouldn’t count on that. D2 is in the hands of the live team right now, while the core team is probably starting work on D3, and it will probably be designed with fixing the shortcomings of D2 year 1 in mind. Meanwhile, the live team will be working on fixing the same shortcomings in D2, with the benefit of constant feedback. So they’ll adjust and tweak their solutions until D2 is just right, while the live team continues to make D3 in relative isolation. By the time it releases, the problems D3 tries to address will already have been fixed in D2, in better ways than D3 does. Exactly like what happened in the transition from D1 to D2. D2’s dvelopment cycle has mirrored D1’s far too closely for me to have any faith at all that D3’s will be any different.

Armor I understand, that exotic armor is crazy, but in my opinion the random drops for exotic weapons are nothing special, most of the quest ones are amaizing, but some of the exotic primaries feel sort of lackluster, the heavys are good, but good luck consistently getting heavy all the time

I don't know why either. Exotic drop rates during year 1 is what kept me playing the game. Now I'm just playing crucible since the PVE milestones are disappointing and boring. I restarted a titan and using crucible to level to 50 then do the story just to see if any exotics would drop from any of the bosses.
