I pretty much always que solo, and I kind of expect to lose. My win/loss ratio is probably about 20/80 or so even though I’m usually top or second in matches provided I didn’t get thrown into a losing match in progress. And yes, seems like I’m usually up against a stacked group. Not only that, but the matches do tend to feel a bit rigged. Seems predictable who’s suppose to win which rounds. Most of the time after winning a round pretty easily, it seems like you’ll be a bullet magnet just trying to survive the next one, as if you have no armor at all, and their primeval will be up and dead before you even knew what happened. Sleeper is obnoxious in gambit, sure, though I don’t believe the weapon is the problem. In my opinion, the problem is with the invasion mechanics, especially the way you’re seen through solid objects. Seems too OP for invaders to come in with an overshield and see you flagged and see how many motes you’re holding clear through solid objects, walls, and enemies. This makes a weapon that OHKOs you from across the map every single time ridiculous. It makes invasions an annoying and frustrating game of getting lucky and avoiding yet another death by sleeper simulant.

  • I know what you mean, if you win the first round it seems exceptionally difficult but not impossible to win the second, but I wonder how much of that comes down to the winning team having burnt through their supers to kill the primeval I personally don’t hate the sleeper in gambit but bungie have previously said they don’t want one weapon rising to prominence over all others, so a nerf of some sort is incoming and they have already said it is being looked at

  • It is possible that teammates may have used their supers burning the primeval in the first round and don’t have them to clear adds on the second. Maybe there’s another explanation, but it sure seems like on the rounds where you lose, you usually get shot to pieces from every angle, have a tough time holding onto motes, and invasions are back to back like every 30 seconds. Tends to feel suspiciously predictable. As for sleeper, I don’t really recall sleeper ever really being a problem for anyone until gambit. Kind of wish they wouldn’t touch the weapon. Just my opinion, but maybe the way invaders can see you through solid objects is the issue. When you combine a weapon that doesn’t need a precision shot to OHKO from across the map with an overshield and the ability to see players and how many motes they’re holding through all obstacles, I mean that’s pretty devastating.

  • Now I think about it, the one issue I do have with sleeper is the amount of times I see a sleeper shot sail past me only to die anyway is irritating. I know this is almost certainly caused by lag, but it is annoying, or even what appears to be people that have near instant charge times (again, lag)

  • What it looks like on my screen, is that I pop my head out for a millisecond and I’m dead before I even saw them.
