Should the hunters uppercut be 1 shot 1 kill?

And I'm not talking about the wave that's sent out. Specifically only an enemy in close proximity. It's only fair since titans can do exactly that as well, plus they have insurmountable skullfort to just keep the one shots coming. Edit: To clarify, when I said one shot kill in close range, I mean like physical contact range, like you'd be for a regular melee [spoiler]Let The Chaos Ensue[/spoiler]

        It should kill the person who takes the brunt of the blow, the person in front of them within normal melee range, while the rest an area of effect damage, same as shoulder charge. It takes a little more skill to use then a shoulder charge, it also takes timing, since you can be too close to someone and just melee them instead, or slide into them. So yeah, the person who takes the brunt of the blow should die on impact from the strike.

        • Yes I agree the hunters have been underpowered since desi 2 came out. Titans have a shield wall. Warlocks have rift hunters have a Dodge that has no lasting effect. Now Titans can 1 hit kill with all 3 melee attacks and hunters can't. I'm a little tired of bungie saying that Titans are for running and gunning because hunters are the mobile ones so it makes sense for them to quickly run up to someone and kill them. I have all 3 classes and so it's easy to see which classes need help. So yeah let's do something for the hunter. At least make the Dodge heal some of the hunters life everytime. that would at least bridge some of the gap.

            All they have to do is slide, and it launches you into the air afterward, allowing you to reposition yourself. You don't move yourself out of position into harm's way in the same manner as shoulder charge.

          • I'm not sure how this uppercut works but it needs to be something that has to be charged up like the Titan charge or the supernova grenade. Otherwise with hunters already having such great evasiveness and natural speed and dodge it would be very impossible to counter.

                If a change were to come, I do not think a one shot is necessary, but perhaps a damage increase in contact. Say about 150 as the shockwave does 130. I do not think a damage change is needed however. The shockwave itself has a lot of value and allows for some extremely satisfying out plays.

                • I already comment several times about the uppercut. It should be OHKO imo, its difficult move to pull + high risk. Good for removing adds actually, but terrible in PvP. If OHKO is too much then add debuff or blight effect after enemies hit by the shockwave. Debuff enemies movement is fair I think, for example: cant jump, run, dodge similar to tethered enemies. Its electricity so its logical that it can paralyze Also throwing knife for Golden Gun, please give it OHKO on crit. Its projectile and slow as hell, should be rewarding if we can hit crit with that kind of weapon. In short range, shotgun, sidearms can beat it easily

                      • How about it doesn't use up the charge when it misses? Let's start there. Also, just unlocked Corrosive Smoke for my Hunter, it's terrible. It needs a little love.

                        Buff something else for hunters other than a one hit melee kill. We don’t want to encourage more no skill aping like the titan class. Maybe allow dodge every 5 secs even when the ability charge isn’t full, but only give the dodge reload or dodge grenade perk for it when your charge is full

                          • I think every class should have a melee ability that is 1 shot kill, instead of just one class. Or - you could make hunters noticeable more mobile so the argument that they are not big and tough and are instead mobile would actually make sense. Also, buff grenades. Like in D1, every class had a OHK melee and nades could actually kill.

                              buffing hunters??? why not nerf them further even tho they were inferior to every other class from day 1 cause -blam!- hunters -probably bungie :)
