Malfeasance Grind
I played Gambit for a solid 15 hours trying to get riven to spawn. We finally get it to spawn, and we’re destroying the other team, so we thought we would get it. But the other team realized that we had the boss, so they all quit knowing we had riven, which won’t drop the quest. They need to make it where if you’re able to get the boss to spawn and they all leave you can still get the quest. Still very upset.

Yeah that’s a shit move however 99% of people in this game start back stabbing when exotic quests come up.

they need to change how this quest drops. The rarity combine with the failure chance and pvp aspect just doesn't make any sense. Btw 23 Matches probably 18 ish wins without a single spawn...big thumbs up

Wow, that's not even a troll at that point. That's just being a sore loser(I would know, since I used to be a pretty bad one.). That was done purely out of spite(or maybe everyone just lagged out or left for different reasons, but who really knows for sure?). It sucks that there's no current countermeasure against it in place. Hopefully they change it to where if you have the Malfeasance boss, and win the round(regardless of how it happened), you get the quest. Not only getting it from kill credit, because it's impossible to do in a scenario like that.

Arghhh. That totally sucks. That other team should have their entire exotic stash deleted, including from the database.

8 RepliesBungie still hasn't gotten it through their thick skulls that rng will inherently -blam!- certain people over and reward others for nowhere near the amount of effort (smoggypluto for life). Bungie, please understand, rng is fine as long as you have a backup plan. Malfeasance could have easily been a quest from the Drifter where you either need to kill the servitor rng spawn [u]OR[/u] win something like 30 matches. That means people can actually play and have an end in sight, you know, something they can actually grind towards without just taking shots in the dark and being disappointed game after game after game after game.

5 RepliesFellow Gamers, Wouldn't it be a great display of sportsmanship if when Riven spawns for the opposing team you and your team just started doing emotes together and threw the match to gaurantee the other guys chances of the quest dropping? Or at least back off maximum effort so it isn't entirely obvious . Sometimes we should be helping each other guys . There are enough toxic pricks already.

I am just not sure, what they were thinking for this quest... Let’s put a gun everyone wants, in a game mode that most don’t enjoy. Then we’ll lock the quest behind a Rng boss. Then after it spawns for the average person at 10+ hours of game play... they can beat the boss, lose the match and quest, or watch the other team leave and not get the quest. Then, it’s back to Rng for the boss to spawn again. Furthermore, we’ll decrease the spawn chances for the following two weeks. Worst case scenario, the Stars align, they beat the boss and have to play even more gambit lol. Me personally, I just want the gun for the sake of not having it. I’ll continue to play 4-5 games, and it doesn’t drop... I’ll move on and try again later. From what I hear, luckily it’s not that good outside of Gambit, or against taken. So no rush...

Are you serious about that? Is it actually possible to just have a team quit and it denies the other team the boss kill/quest if you do that? That’s realllllly -blam!-ing scummy... those people should get an instant 48 hour gambit ban if they don’t reconnect before the game is over when that boss spawns... it’s only fair

dang, guess I got lucky. I dont care for gambit too much. It spawned for me just doing the daily bounty - lol. I was going over at the end and killing the other team and they had it at the same time as we did...kinda weird.....

92 RepliesPlease I just got this gun with no problem at all. You are literally just bad. I got ace legit and even I agreed that needed to be made easier but this quest is super easy. No offence but if you suck then maybe you shouldn't be given the gun.

Fact is.... in d1 they had rng exotic quest and they removed them cause it was a bad idea. I don't know which dingbat thought it was a good idea now and in a competitive form to make it worse. I have given up on it. There grinding and then there is butt gravy like this.

I won't lie I've thrown a few servitors because teammates were being shitters. It's funny asf when they are dicks all game but then when it spawns they know they won't get it.

29 RepliesThat is pretty lame.. I’m not interested in getting that gun yet, I’ve only had Forsaken for a week... but damn though. What happened to the Guardians? We used to help each other out, even if there didn’t seem to be a gain in it, we still used to help each other just out of principle.

I mean, not all of us are bad. Anytime I go in with a team we all agree to throw the match if the other team has the Boss. Took way too long for us to get it.

2 RepliesBungie needs to start putting penalties for teams quitting during Gambit just like people who are quitting in Crucible or Trials. Once they leave they get penalized in D2 no questions asked. #Bungie fix that problem in the next patch soon. No one likes quitters in Gambit it's happening way too often.
