Easy to use? Effective? But that doesn't matter. Any good player would just use what they want and triumph. There is literally no point in nerfing weapons. All nerfing does is takes away your choices. Noone wants that. So no. The only people who agree with your post are like-minded sheep who aren't good enough to adapt. Guess what happens to sheep: they get eaten.

 • The reason that they nerf things is because they want balance. An unbalanced game causes disruption and arguments and impacts negatively upon the community and game. I bet if they checked the usages of the shotgun, it would be equally as high as mida multi tool pre nerf (which was about 70 -80% of the time in all gamemodes) If they nerf it, then people will adapt and find other options, but it shouldn't be the only option

 • Nerfs are the exact opposite of balance. And yes, since shotguns moved back to secondary, nearly everyone uses them. And again, good players use whatever they want, and can still keep up with or surpass the meta. Asking for nerfs are people's flippant reactions to being destroyed by a particular weapon type. Instead of taking a loss as a learning experience, nerf herders (like you) feel that because they experience getting badly beaten by the "meta", they want to take the easy way out and dumb down the gameplay to a level where they think they can compete. And once the new "meta" surfaces after a pointless blanket nerf, the whole f*ucking cycle repeats. I have zero f*ucking sympathy for nerf-herders. You people are the ones that ruined my favorite gun archetype (fusion rifles) in d1. If you cant take the heat, go get a damn heat shield, or get the f*uck out of the damn kitchen.

In fact, the only way to defeat a team with those weapons is by having the same weapons as them anyway. IF I was a sheep like you assume I am, I'd be a little prick like you and everyone else using the SAME DAMN WEAPONS, because WHAT THE -blam!- is the point in using another weapon right now?!?! Might as well just REMOVE ALL THE OTHER POINTLESS AND SEEMINGLY UNSUPERIOR INFUSION FUEL?!?!

 • Lol off topic response at the end? In either case, your solution just doesn't work. Why do you think bungie has taken a very strict "no nerf" approach with d2? Because they realized that nerfing weapons or weapon types into the dirt detracts from both pvp and pve experiences. And as far as gambit goes? You can just as easily run whisper of the worm, the EP sniper, grenade launchers, the tractor cannon, or literally any other heavy or secondary weapon and still win. The key to winning gambit is to throwing blockers and banking notes as soon as possible. The faster you summon the primeval, the more damage you do to him. And invaders can be easily dispatched by rockets or scout rifles (the latter is good because it screws with their aim). So what if lower skilled people use the meta or easy weapons? If you're better, then prove it. You dont need to cry nerf every time you get beat by one or two damn guns. FFS.

 • Theyre not just two "damn guns". They are the most overused guns right now. If the enemy is of unknown location, then how can you get him to flinch before he sees you? Maybe instead of the invader spawning on the edges of the map, maybe he should arrive next to the mote bank, so that if he wants to go close range he can do, but he also has enough time to back off and snipe from afar. Also, shotguns do enough damage anyway, so if your EP shotguns are doing triple the damage on the same boss, then the boss can be killed faster than you can say escalation protocol. In perspective: IF for example the EP shotty does 2000 damage per hit, then triple that is 6000 (after the trench barrel melee proc) Now there's 4 people with the weapon... 24000 damage. Then there's 7 bullets in the magazine... 168,000 damage... in 3 seconds. And then there is well of radiance and lunafaction boots... a buff to damage and instant reloading ammo. (Almost 200,000 damage.) The boss, can be killed in around 3-5 times the speed of what a regular shotgun would do, making it the most overpowered and unbalanced shotgun in the entire game. If everyone had it, there would be no problem, but in the end it's all down to RNG to get the weapon... and there is literally no alternative to it.
