How tf are you in Dreaming City and don't know how to make Taken Blight heroic?

I saw a guy this week with an Ikelos shotty full on ape those blights. Tbf he took them out very quickly!

Even worse now because of the bounty. It makes getting that objective done take longer than necessary.

1 ReplyIts pretty easy... you just shoot the cabal pelican thingy. But maybe I just get lucky with people in the lobby, because they destroy it before I even see it. I look for it the whole time and I still cant figure out when they shot it down... what's worse is they kill the excavator valus' all over the place so none of the bombs are in the same place... and I don't want oryx to give me the clap.. plus I dont know where the plates are or how to sword glitch them.

7 RepliesI have no reason to do the heroic version, there's no bounty requiring it, and the loot obtainable is all the same. I don't care if completing the heroic gives a. 0000000001% higher chance of getting an exotic, its a waste of time.

2 RepliesNot everyone is trying to make it heroic! Don’t assume everyone doesn’t know. I have beat them on normal just to get the public event bounty done and move on. Too many people assume and then send the disrespectful messages calling you a moron or idiot. It doesn’t need to be made heroic every time....

I dam near forgot i thought bungie said something about a taken event being different but i realized nothing changed with the public event.

The thing about the Blight PE is that people do it different ways. I usually wait until the last blight before destroying it since the first two happen pretty quick. Some people shoot it from the get go and if enough people are shooting it I’ll do it to, but if it’s just one person then it’s not going to do anything. If everyone shot on the first blight I’d shoot, but if not then wait till the last one.

6 RepliesOnly one I haven't figured out yet is the ether one where after killing the yellow bar, the ether floats into the destroyed servitor in the middle of the conflict area. I've watched others and haven't seen anyone get that one to go heroic yet.

Some people try to beat the event BEFORE everyone else can make it heroic. I’ve seen this a lot on the Tangled shore.

Well according to destiny tracker, Bungie sold another roughly 1.4 million copies of D2 when Forsaken came out... So that may be the answer. Then again, people still screw them up in the EDZ so...

4 RepliesIf you come to Dreaming City and don't know the heroic trigger, you're a moron. If you come to Dreaming City and you DO know the heroic trigger, but you screw it up for the guys trying to make it heroic because you don't think it's worth it, you're a twat.

I didn't have to spend much time in any zone at all really because before 500, there is zero grind in this game. And then it skyrockets to slow as all hell. So I have no idea wtf you're talking about. But thanks for the high quality post with a topic and no body text cause you're just that l33t.

Everyone there shot at me and then they all took off. Some of us have just gotten to the city and haven’t been playing destiny for several years. I’m learning as I go. I don’t have hrs a day to research and look up every aspect of the game. Just like to jump on and play. I am a casual after all.

3 RepliesI had one guy message me asking why I wasn't helping him shoot the small blights Turns out some 560 asshat mislead this guy to believe that the way to trigger the heroic taken blight was to destroy all the blights in 30 seconds as soon as the big blight appears.

2 RepliesPs plus d2 was free with the expansions so they only had to buy forsaken and spark of light to level up characters to play through the forsaken content from the get go.
